A bi- monthly celebration of the brilliant African American men and women making strides in Science, Engineering,Technology,Medicine, Education, Music, Film, Fine Arts and Literature. Each episode we dive into the stories, innovations, and breakthroughs shaping these industries. I'm your host Willie James Jr. and welcome to the YOUNG BLACK GENIUSES PODCAST. In this episode I decided to drive down to Atlanta Georgia and have a chat with a long time friend of mine Timotheus Burns AKA Tim Burns.Tim hails from Canton Ohio, the birth place of the famous O'Jays and the state that is rich in music talent. Groups like the Ohio Players, Heatwave, The Dazz Band just to name a few hit makers and lets not forget the funk master Bootsy Collins.Tim is a award winning producer, song writer and multi talented instrumentalist with roots in smooth jazz, funk, R&B and pop. Tim has worked or recorded with a host of musical giants such as Gerald Albright, Steve Oliver,Leon Silvers,Phillip Ingram and many, many other music icons that would take too much time to list them all. When I set down and talked with Tim, I was impressed with his insight on the topic of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and how it is beginning to shape the music industry. Tim and I went way back from how we met to how we ended up in Los Angeles California with some of the same music interest, so set back and enjoy with me the journey of this man of vision, Mr. Tim Burns.
