Narrow Is The Way

I Had Everything… But It Wasn’t Enough

In Part 2 of Tanner’s testimony, we step into the silent battle that followed the tragedy. Tanner’s life was once the talk of the town—always watched, always evaluated. Everywhere he went, he became whoever people expected him to be, until he couldn’t tell who he was anymore. That’s when the enemy’s lie took root: “People don’t love you—they just feel sorry for you.”

This lie drove him into a life of approval-chasing—working for worth, performing for acceptance, and numbing the ache with alcohol and marijuana.

He'd eventually go to built the life he thought would fix everything—marriage, a child, a home, a career. But even with everything he thought he wanted, he hit the darkest depression of his life and was left with the question... “Is this really it?”

But God was not finished.
In one desperate moment—in a cold shower—Jesus met him. Not in a sermon, not in a church service, but face-to-face in the place he least expected. One encounter, one conversation with the living God, and everything changed.

Today’s episode isn’t just a story—it’s an invitation.
We pray it doesn’t just make you think…
We pray it makes you change.

What our small town thought they knew about his story was only the surface. Now, Tanner is sharing everything the way it was meant to be heard—through his own voice, and through the lens of God’s redemption.

Wait, Why are We Starting a Podcast?

Man... God really checked our motives and cleared our confusion.
Moment of vulnerability: we were very in our heads after this recording. We jumped in, let God move, watched back and were like uh wait…. We didn't even introduce ourselves!? (aside from “hi my name is__”)

that was it.

Which is fine because it isn't about us, it's about helping you all & serving God. It’ll always be about that, but next week is a straight up “about us” as we share basically all of our trauma and trials that got us to a testimony. So tune in for that one 😅

But episode 1 is out.

& it’s messy.

We debated deleting the first recording and just starting over. Thinking hey everyone has a first try and maybe this was meant to be a test & we failed. Let's start over. No one ever even has to see it. BUT someone may have to see it. There may be something in there to help one person out and that's enough.

We were being very nit picky over the dumbest things that no one cares about except us. We are not perfect- that's like the whole point of the podcast: aiming to be Godly Girls, but God is perfect, and we will always fall short of that standard.

So.

Today we put out the first episode.

Far from perfect, but that's us.
