What happens when you truly encounter the holiness of God?

In this message from Isaiah 6:1–8, we walk through Isaiah’s encounter with the Holy One and the four-step progression that follows: Seen, Realized, Paid, and Sent.

Isaiah first sees God in His glory and realizes just how far he falls short of God’s holiness. But instead of leaving Isaiah in his guilt and shame, God provides a way for his sin to be cleansed. The coal from the altar touches Isaiah’s lips, his guilt is taken away, and he is then sent out by God.

This points us to the gospel of Jesus. Jesus is the One who came down to us, paid the price for our sin, and makes us clean. Because of what Jesus has done, our past and our shortcomings do not have to disqualify us from being used by God.

The message challenges us to consider four questions:

Have you seen the Holy One?
Have you realized how far short you fall of Him?
Have you allowed Jesus to pay the deficit?
Will you allow Him to send you?

We are not responsible for controlling what happens when we share the gospel. We are called to plant the seed and trust God with the results. Even the people Isaiah preached to often refused to listen, yet God still used Isaiah’s faithfulness.

Your past may be the very thing you think disqualifies you, but God can use your story and your testimony for His glory.

Seek God. Let Him forgive you. And allow Him to use the very thing you once felt ashamed of for His glory.

In this message, we looked at what God has called us to be as a church through the picture of planting, watering, and leaving the growth to God from 1 Corinthians 3:5–9. The message also shared part of the pastor’s personal story and how God has gradually revealed a vision for the church over many years.

Our vision is built around two ideas: we are a church that plants and waters and leaves the growth to God, and we are a church that walks with people one step at a time, joining them wherever they are and accepting them for who they are at that moment.

Being planters and waterers means being more concerned with trying than succeeding, trusting God with the results. It means choosing grace over justice, recognizing that God’s justice is greater than anything we could give someone. And it means choosing love over our rights, being willing to set aside what we feel entitled to in order to love and serve people.

Ultimately, this vision is about removing barriers to Jesus, helping people take their first or next step with Him, and walking alongside people wherever God has placed them. We plant, we water, we walk with people—and we trust God to grow them.

Jesus is the greatest example of what it means to be sent. In this message, we look at the story of Zaccheus and discover the heart behind Jesus' mission: to seek and save the lost. Zaccheus was someone others had written off, but Jesus saw someone who was worth finding.

Through Scripture and the story of a lost child, we're reminded that we are never too lost for God to find us. His love pursues us, and nothing can separate us from Him. But for those who have been found, the mission doesn't stop there—we are called to join Jesus in seeking those who are still lost.

This message challenges us to see people the way Jesus does: lost, worth finding, and worth saving.

Before God used him to spread the gospel across the world, Saul persecuted the Church and approved of Stephen's death. Yet God met him, transformed his life, and used him in incredible ways. Paul's story reminds us that no failure is too great for God's grace. Your past doesn't have to define your future—failure is never final when Jesus is involved.

Sermon Recap: Failure Is Not Fatal

Welcome back! This week we kicked off a new series called "Failure Is Not Fatal." Over the next few weeks we'll be looking at some of the biggest failures in Scripture, what caused them, and what we can learn from them.

This week we started with Peter. Peter had seen Jesus do incredible things and had experienced plenty of victories, but he was also known for acting before thinking. When Jesus told the disciples they would all fall away, Peter confidently said, "Not me." He believed he was strong enough to stand firm, but before the night was over, he denied even knowing Jesus three times.

Peter's biggest failure wasn't just denying Jesus—it was believing he could handle the situation on his own. His confidence had shifted from depending on Jesus to depending on himself.

The same thing can happen to us. When we rely on our own strength, our past successes, or our own willpower, we stop listening to the Holy Spirit. We begin to think, "I've got this," and that's often when we're most vulnerable.

But the good news is the title of the series: failure is not fatal. Peter's story didn't end with his denial. Jesus restored him, and Peter went on to preach at Pentecost where thousands came to faith. God wasn't finished with Peter, and He's not finished with us either.

The challenge this week is to replace self-confidence with dependence on Christ. Trust Him, stay rooted in His Word, and remember that when you fail, His grace is still sufficient. Your failure is not the end of your story.

On Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birth of a new era in God’s relationship with His people. Drawing from Acts 2, this message explores Peter’s powerful sermon, the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy, and what it means to receive God-given visions and dreams today. Discover how the Holy Spirit continues to convict, guide, and empower believers to share the Gospel, and why Peter’s invitation to repent, be baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit remains just as relevant now as it was on the day of Pentecost.

As we conclude the “Unclean” series, this message explores how Jesus completely transformed the understanding of what it means to be clean before God. Drawing from Matthew 15 and Matthew 23, we discover that true uncleanness is not found in external circumstances but begins in the heart and mind. Through Scripture, we are challenged to examine our inner lives, pursue the holiness of Christ, and rely on His grace to cleanse us from within. Learn how a clean heart, renewed mind, and faithful walk with Jesus empower us to bring hope and healing to a world in need.

In this episode, we explore powerful moments from Matthew 8 where Jesus crosses social, cultural, and spiritual boundaries to reach the “unclean.” From touching a leper, to honoring a Roman enemy, to noticing an overlooked woman, Jesus consistently prioritizes people over perception. What does this mean for us today? We unpack how following Jesus may require stepping into uncomfortable spaces, loving those society avoids, and rethinking what it truly means to be “clean.”

Reflecting on the example of Jesus, we dive into the heart behind sacrificial living—love. What motivated Christ to give everything, and how does that shape the way we live today? This conversation challenges us to move beyond words and into action, embracing a life where love requires surrender, humility, and selflessness. Join us as we consider how choosing love can transform not only our faith, but the way we serve others each day.

What does it truly mean to live a sacrificial life? In this episode, we dive deep into the powerful example set by Jesus and what it looks like for us to follow in His footsteps.

Through passages like Philippians 2 and Acts 2, we explore how Jesus willingly gave up His position, embraced human vulnerability, and ultimately humbled Himself to the point of death—all for our sake. His sacrifice didn’t stop at the cross; it reflects a pattern of selfless love, grace, and obedience that challenges how we define sacrifice in our own lives.

We also wrestle with honest questions: Are our sacrifices truly sacrificial? Or have we redefined comfort as sacrifice? How do our daily choices measure up to the example Jesus set?

This episode invites you to reflect, be challenged, and consider where God may be calling you to live more sacrificially—for Him and for others.

This episode explores what it truly means to be a living sacrifice. Looking at Jesus’ challenging words in Matthew 10 and Luke 9, we wrestle with the real cost of following Christ. While we often expect peace, unity, and comfort, Jesus makes it clear that choosing Him can bring division, sacrifice, and the call to lay down our own lives. What does it mean to “take up your cross daily”? And are we willing to place everything—our priorities, relationships, and desires—on the altar for Him? Join us as we consider the cost of discipleship and what it means to decrease so that Christ may increase.

What does Jesus really mean when He says, “I am the Bread of Life”? In this message from John 6, we unpack why that statement sounded strange then—and why it still challenges us now. By looking at bread in its original, life-sustaining form, the story of manna in the wilderness, and the crowd that wanted another meal instead of more of Jesus, we’re invited to ask an honest question: What kind of bread are we asking for? This episode points us back to Jesus as the only source that truly satisfies, sustains, and gives life.

Celebration isn’t just a holiday mood—it’s a spiritual discipline woven throughout Scripture. In this episode, we wrap up our series on Spiritual Disciplines by exploring how God calls His people to remember, rejoice, and celebrate together. From Israel’s festivals to Jesus’ parables of lost things being found, we’re reminded that following Christ is meant to be marked by joy. We’ll look at why celebration matters, how it shapes our faith, and how practices like baptism and communion invite us into shared joy, unity, and gratitude for all God has done.

This episode explores the difference between attending worship and truly practicing it. We look at worship and meditation as spiritual disciplines that require participation, not passive observation. Through Scripture and reflection, we’re reminded that worship is about recognizing God’s worth through praise, prayer, and posture—both together as a church and alone in quiet meditation. Following Jesus’ example, this conversation invites us to move beyond checking a box and instead offer our lives as a genuine act of worship.

In this message, we explore Sabbath as both a day and a discipline—not just something we observe, but something we practice. Looking at Scripture and the example of Jesus, we discover how rest, worship, community, and intentional renewal prepare us for the work God calls us to do. The Sabbath wasn’t made to restrict us, but to restore us—and to help us live from a place of rest, not exhaustion.

In this message, we explore the prophecy of Immanuel from Isaiah 7 and Matthew 1, uncovering its original context and its lasting impact. Through the story of King Ahaz, Isaiah, and a nation struggling to trust God, we see how a familiar Christmas prophecy carries both immediate consequences and eternal hope. This sermon reminds us that God’s promises are not just fulfilled in the past—they are alive in the present. Immanuel, “God with us,” still changes our past, our present, and our future.

What are the odds that one life could fulfill ancient prophecy? In this episode, we examine the remarkable probability of Old Testament prophecies and how they come together in the birth of Jesus. From a star in the sky to gifts from kings and the sorrow felt in Bethlehem, we see both the wonder and the weight of God’s redemptive plan. This conversation invites us to hold hope and heartbreak together, recognizing God’s faithfulness—and our calling to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.

In this episode, we step into the Thanksgiving season by exploring the deeper meaning behind Jesus’ parable of the sower in Matthew 13. While many focus on the soils and the harvest, we shift our attention to the sower—and what it means for us as followers of Christ. With growing needs in our community and countless opportunities to serve, we’re reminded that our calling is to generously scatter the seed of the Gospel without hesitation or fear of failure. Join us as we talk about excuses, obedience, and the beauty of being sowers in a world that’s hungry for hope.

Gideon felt too small, asked for signs, worried about what others thought, and feared being wrong — just like we often do. But through every excuse, God reminded him: “I will be with you.” The challenge for us is simple — don’t let fear become the reason we say no to God.

This sermon explores two powerful lessons from Daniel 10: the courage to seek clarity from God in the midst of uncertainty, and the unseen reality of spiritual warfare. Drawing parallels to Jesus in Luke 22, we learn that bold, persistent prayer not only shapes our understanding but also fuels the spiritual battles happening beyond what we can see. Discover how prayer supplies strength to the fight and why we should never stop storming Heaven’s throne.

In this message, we dive into Daniel 9 and explore how God’s promises to Israel through the prophet Jeremiah connect directly to Daniel’s prayer and Gabriel’s prophetic revelation. We trace the 70 years of exile, the prophecy of the “70 sevens,” and the astonishing way it points to the coming of Jesus. Along the way, we uncover timeless truths: God’s faithfulness to His promises, His unstoppable plan of redemption, and His ultimate purpose of revealing His glory. Join us as we see how Daniel’s example of prayer, repentance, and trust in God challenges us to live faithfully while we wait for Christ’s return.

In this episode, we step into the often-overlooked chapters of Daniel—visions and prophecies that seem mysterious, yet carry a powerful message for us today. Daniel 7 introduces terrifying beasts—symbols of nations, leaders, and powers that rise and fall. They look unstoppable, arrogant, and overwhelming… but their authority is only temporary, granted for a moment and always under God’s control.

We’ll explore what these beasts mean for us in a world where spiritual battles rage both visibly and invisibly. Evil may roar, but Jesus has already claimed victory. Just as the beasts in Daniel’s vision lose their power, so do the battles that weigh us down.

This episode invites you to ask: What beast are you facing? Is it overwhelming, or already beginning to lose its grip? Wherever you are, Daniel’s vision reminds us that God’s Kingdom cannot be shaken, and the name of Jesus is our ultimate weapon.

In this sermon, we dive into the book of Daniel to uncover timeless lessons about the sovereignty of God. From dreams that no one else could interpret, to writing on the wall that baffled kings, Daniel’s life shows us what it looks like to trust God’s voice with complete faith and confidence.

We’ll explore four key ways Daniel responded when God broke into impossible situations—faith in God’s wisdom, openness to His voice, confidence in His leading, and a consistent desire to give Him the glory. Along the way, we’ll ask tough but important questions: Do we really believe God is sovereign in our lives? Can we still trust Him when the cure doesn’t come, when finances run out, or when the road ahead seems blocked?

Whether you’re wrestling with doubt or looking to strengthen your faith, this episode challenges you to listen, trust, and step into the impossible with God.

This week, Pastor Jeff takes us through three major tests of faith that Daniel and his friends faced while living in exile under Babylonian rule—each one a powerful picture of what it looks like to stand firm when everything in the culture says, “Bow down or give in.”

Across 20+ years of pressure, Daniel and his friends are confronted with moments that could have compromised their identity, faith, and future. But instead of bending, they remain faithful.
Why? Because they believed in the sovereignty of God—and that nothing they endured was wasted.
📚 The Three Big Stories:

The Food Test (Daniel 1:8–20)
Daniel chooses faith over assimilation, refusing to defile himself with the king’s food. A simple act of obedience opens the door for God's favor and wisdom.

The Fiery Furnace (Daniel 3)
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego defy the king’s command to worship a golden statue. Their refusal lands them in the fire—where God meets them.

The Lion’s Den (Daniel 6)
When a new law forbids prayer, Daniel stays faithful anyway. His boldness leads to a night with lions—and a miraculous deliverance that points to God’s glory.

💡 What These Stories Teach Us About God’s Sovereignty:

The world will pressure you to conform—but God calls you to stand out.

Trials aren’t signs of failure; they’re often signs of faithfulness.

God always makes a way—even if it’s through the fire or the lions.

Victory comes by faith, not by force.

📖 Scriptures Referenced:

Daniel 1:8–20

Daniel 3

Daniel 6

James 4:1

Matthew 4 / Luke 4 (Jesus’ temptation)

—

🎧 Listen now and be reminded: God isn’t surprised by your trial.
In this powerful kickoff to our Daniel series, we dive into Chapter 1 and explore how God's people can stay faithful even in the most disorienting circumstances.

Emily (or your speaker's name, if different) walks us through the beginning of Daniel's story—how four young men were taken from their homes, stripped of their culture, renamed, and reprogrammed by a foreign empire. But instead of losing their faith, they held onto it. Why? Because they believed in a truth that changes everything:
God’s sovereignty means nothing is a mistake.
If you've ever asked, “Is this really where I’m supposed to be?”, this episode is for you.
In this Sermon, we journey into Luke 7:36–50, where Jesus accepts an invitation to dine at the home of Simon the Pharisee. What begins as a formal banquet becomes a deeply personal encounter involving three unforgettable characters: Simon, a skeptical religious leader; a woman with a broken past and a heart full of love; and Jesus, who sees through both their facades and fears.

Join us as we unpack the cultural context of ancient banquets, the power of hospitality, and the radical grace Jesus offers to those society often overlooks. This isn't just a story about a meal—it's a moment that lays bare our motives, our judgments, and our need for mercy.

💭 Who are you at the table—Simon, the woman, or someone standing silently on the sidelines?

📌 Challenge: Use one meal this week to focus more on building relationships than simply eating. Let love lead.

In this episode, we board one of the most important—and sometimes uncomfortable—ships in our discipleship journey: stewardship.

We explore what it truly means to be stewards, not owners, of what God has given us. Through Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians and Peter’s call to faithful living, we’re reminded that stewardship is about more than just finances. It’s about managing our time, resources, and priorities with an eternal perspective.

We break down four key principles of stewardship, challenge the idea that money is the goal, and highlight how generosity isn't just for the wealthy—it’s for everyone who wants to live like Jesus.

Tune in for a conversation that reframes giving from guilt-driven to grace-filled—and discover how this often-overlooked “ship” is vital for both personal growth and the mission of the church.

In this week’s sermon, we explored the “ship” of fellowship as a vital vessel in our faith journey—more than just social events, it’s about “holding our lives in common” through shared purpose, community, and connection in Christ. Drawing from Acts 2 and Galatians 2, we unpacked how true fellowship reflects generosity, openness, and a commitment to unity even amid differences. The challenge? Don’t let this ship sit docked—let the Spirit move you deeper into community with God and others.
