The Bills have picked up the fifth-year option on TE Dalton Kincaid. It's worth $8.1M, fully guaranteed, for the 2027 season.

Jaguars GM James Gladstone said they will pick up the fifth-year option on OT Anton Harrison. It's $19 million, fully guaranteed, for the 2027 season.

Vikings will pick up the fifth-year option on WR Jordan Addison. It’s $18 million, fully guaranteed, for the 2027 season.

The Giants have released veteran K Graham Gano with a failed physical designation.

The NFL owners have approved the Super Bowl returning to Las Vegas in 2029, as Allegiant Stadium will host Super Bowl LXIII.

The Seahawks will be featured on this summer’s Hard Knocks. The Patriots will be featured on the 2027 summer Hard Knocks.

21-year-old SS Cooper Pratt is signing an extension with the Brewers. 8-year deal worth $50.75 million, plus two club options. Pratt has only played three games above AA and is ranked 62nd on MLB Pipeline's top 100 prospects list.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have fired GM Brad Treliving.

Offensive Player of the Year and Super-Bowl champion Jaxon Smith-Njigba reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest-paid WR in NFL history. The deal averages $42.15 million per year, and includes over $120 million guaranteed, both setting records for any wide receiver.

Seahawks match offer sheet to WR Jake Bobo, who will sign a 2-year, $5.5M deal to stay in Seattle. $4.5M guaranteed, Bobo gets a $1.75M signing bonus and can earn up to $7M with incentives.

Center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs are finalizing a long-term contract extension. Crow-Armstrong, coming off a 30-30 season and a Gold Glove, will get a big payday as the Cubs lock up a franchise-caliber talent.

Jets trading QB Justin Fields to Chiefs for 2027 sixth-round pick. Had the Jets released Justin Fields, they would’ve had to eat $10M in guaranteed money. By trading him, they take on just $7M, KC takes on $3M. Jets GM Darren Mougey has turned into one of the most active trading GMs in the league. He’s made 10+ trades in a little over a year on the job. As part of the trade, the Jets are giving Justin Fields an $8M signing bonus, plus he will earn $3M fully guaranteed salary from the Chiefs for a total of $11M.

Cardinals signed former Jaguars safety Andrew Wingard, who started 16 games last season and finished second on the team in tackles, to a one-year contract.

Cardinals have signed former Bears DT Andrew Billings.

Panthers and P Sam Martin have agreed to terms on a 2-year contract worth up to $5M to land Martin back in Carolina.

Lions LB Grant Stuard joins Rams on two-year deal.

Colts signed former Cowboys S Juanyeh Thomas.

Raiders have signed former Colts free agent LB Segun Olubi.

Dolphins signed veteran OT Charlie Heck, who spent last season with the Buccaneers.

49ers and WR Christian Kirk agreed to terms on a one-year deal for $6M.

Veteran CB Darius Slay is retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons and a Super Bowl ring. Spent 7 years with Detroit, 5 with Philadelphia and his final year with the Steelers (and sort of on the Bills).

Nate Diaz will fight Mike Perry in a five rounds MMA fight. The fight will go down on the undercard of Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano on Netflix.

Calgary, Edmonton, and Prague will be the hosts for the 2028 World Cup of Hockey. Calgary and Prague will host the round robin of the World Cup, with the semifinals and final in Edmonton. The tournament will take place in February of 2028.

Steve Kerr now has 600 career wins. He becomes the 28th head coach in NBA history to reach that mark.

Barry Trotz announced that he is stepping down as GM of the Predators. He will remain on until a successor is found. Trotz will assist with the selection of the new GM and will remain with the organization as an advisor through his contract term (2026-27).

Gus Malzahn is retiring from coaching, Florida State. He served as the Seminole’s OC this past year. Mike Norvell has promoted co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. to be the Seminoles’ offensive coordinator.

The NFL is coming to Paris, with the Saints as one of the teams.

The NFL will return to Mexico City to play regular season games for the next three years at Estadio Banorte, starting in the 2026 season.

Ravens hire Anthony Weaver as their defensive coordinator.

Broncos are promoting QBs coach Davis Webb to offensive coordinator.

Rams signed Head Coach Sean McVay and General Manager Les Snead to contract extensions.

San Jose Sharks acquired F Kiefer Sherwood from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for San Jose’s second-round selections in 2026 and 2027, and defenseman Cole Clayton.

Ravens - 24 Steelers - 26

- The Steelers win the AFC North for the first time since 2020. Aaron Rodgers is playoff-bound for the first time since the 2021-22 season.

- T.J. Watt joins HOF Julius Peppers and HOF Lawrence Taylor as the only players with 100+ sacks and 9+ INT in a career in NFL history.

- The Steelers finish the season with a +12 turnover differential (4th-highest in NFL) and 101 points off turnovers.

- Derrick Henry joins HOF Barry Sanders as the only players with 1,500+ rush yards in 5 career seasons. Henry records back-to-back seasons with 1,500+ rushing yards and 15+ rushing TDs at ages 31 and 32 (no other player age 30+ has ever done it once).

The Falcons are firing HC Raheem Morris after two seasons and went 16-18 in his second stint as the Falcons’ head coach, and GM Terry Fontenot, who under his guidance, went 36-48 with no winning seasons and no playoff appearances. Drake London and Bijan Robinson were among the Falcons players who openly said after today’s game that they want Raheem Morris to stay. But Atlanta makes the decision to move on and will be looking for a new head coach once again. The Falcons finished 8-9 and on a four-game winning streak. But it wasn’t enough to save Morris. Fontenot’s 1st-round draft picks: 2021: No. 4: TE Kyle Pitts, 2022: No. 8: WR Drake London, 2023: No. 8: RB Bijan Robinson, 2024: No. 8: QB Michael Penix Jr., 2025: No. 15: DE Jalon Walker, 2025: No. 26: DE James Pearce. Atlanta’s new GM will not have a 1st-round pick in 2026. The Falcons say the searches for head coach and general manager will begin immediately. ZRG Partners will assist on the HC search and Sportsology Group will assist on the GM search. No timeline has been set for completion of either search, but they will occur concurrently. Matt Ryan is being strongly considered for a high-profile front-office role with the Falcons, similar to what Detroit has with Chris Spielman. The team recently hired Sportology to do a full organizational evaluation — which led to the GM/HC firing. We’ll see what happens with Rich McKay, but ownership has been frustrated with how things have been run, and changes are happening at all levels.

Browns fire head coach Kevin Stefanski. The 2x AP NFL Coach of the Year winner was 45-56 with a pair of playoff appearances (one win) during his six-year tenure in Cleveland.

The Raiders fired head coach Pete Carroll, officially a one and done. Carroll went 3-14 during his lone season in Las Vegas, as the Raiders own the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Carroll signed a three-year deal one year ago, and the Raiders finished this season with the NFL’s worst record.

Czechia defeats Canada in the WJC, 6-4. Czechia eliminates Canada for the THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR, this time punching its ticket to the Gold Medal game against Sweden. This will be the first world junior championship gold medal game since 2016 not to feature either the U.S. or Canada. The Vikings originally signed TE Ben Sims as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He was waived in final cuts and claimed by the Packers, who kept him on the roster for over two years before waiving him Saturday, and Minnesota has now reclaimed him.

Pirates hiring Bill Murphy from the Astros as pitching coach.

Game 3 of the World Series between the Blue Jays and Dodgers tied for the longest World Series game ever at 18 innings.

Shohei Ohtani is the first player in MLB history to have a game with: 4 Hits and 5 Walks. Ohtani ties an MLB record by reaching base for the ninth time. It's been done three other times: Stan Hack 1942, Johnny Burnett 1932, Max Carey 1922.

Caleb Williams on the first drive: 5-of-6 passing, 97 Pass Yards, Pass TD. He connected with Olamide Zaccheaus for a 36-yard TD. 6-of-10, 107 Pass Yards, Pass TD in total.
Bears CB Terell Smith, who’s been having a strong camp, had to be carted off the field after suffering what appeared to be a non-contact injury. He was quickly ruled out with a knee injury.

- Saints are sending veteran DT Khalen Saunders to the Jaguars for C Luke Fortner. Saunders started for New Orleans in yesterday’s preseason game against Jacksonville and is now joining them. Saunders won two Super Bowls with Kansas City and had one of the NFL’s most improbable interception returns against them.

- No. 1 prospect Konnor Griffin is heading to the Double-A. Third stop for the 2024 first-round pick, bringing a .938 OPS, 16 homers, and 59 SB with him. Should he debut on Tuesday at PNG Field, he would be the youngest player in franchise history (by a lot). Youngest Altoona Curve players ever: McCutchen: 19y, 10m, 5days, Tabata: 19y, 11m, 27d, Termarr: 20y, 2m, 16d. Griffin would be 19 years, 3 months, and 26 days old.

- First baseman Nathaniel Lowe and the Boston Red Sox are finalizing a deal. Lowe was DFA’d by Washington earlier this week and will head to Boston and join one of the best lineups in the league.

- New Mexico has named junior transfer Jack Layne the starting quarterback. He'll debut for the Lobos in the opener at Michigan in the first game for coach Jason Eck. He's Idaho transfer who threw for 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns and shined in the FCS playoffs last year. Layne was the starting quarterback for Eck at Idaho last year. He transferred after Eck took the job. Layne played essentially six games last year, as he played well in an early loss to Oregon and then missed two months. He won the job with his consistency in camp this summer.

- Multiple sources heard Tatsuro Taira vs Hyun Sung Park Is IN THE WORKS For The New UFC Vegas 108 August 2nd main event. One source has also teased that Park is being pulled from his fight. Tallison Teixeira was offered the main event against Waldo Cortes Acosta for UFC Vegas 108 on August 2nd, but declined the fight since he had not trained since his UFC Nashville fight on July 12th.
