This podcast is about the place before the expression.

Before there is a public expression, there is an altar. Before we carry an assignment for the Kingdom, there is formation. And before Father releases something through the vessel, He is also concerned with the vessel that will carry it.

Throughout Sound of the Altar, we will explore identity, consecration, prophetic worship, intercession, creativity, the priesthood of the believer, healing and deliverance, the written word, and the many ways the Spirit of God forms His sound within His people.

Healing and deliverance are not presented here through condemnation, but as invitations into freedom, restoration, wholeness, and deeper intimacy with the Father.

There will be times when we journey deeply through Scripture, times when Vania shares from her own process and experiences, and seasons devoted to particular expressions of the Kingdom artisan—from the altar, to the scroll, to the sound, and ultimately to the assignment.

The desire of this podcast is not simply that you gather information, but that these episodes become places of encounter—places where Holy Spirit awakens something within you, brings alignment, and reminds you of what Heaven has already spoken.

Sometimes what Father is forming begins as a whisper: a prayer, a dream, a burden, an image, a sound, a movement, a word, or something you cannot yet fully explain.

When it comes from Him, it deserves to be stewarded at the altar.

What if the beginning of creation reveals a pattern for how God forms what He desires to release through us?

In this opening episode of The Sound of the Altar, Vania Costner returns to Bereshit—the beginning—to explore the pattern revealed in Genesis 1. Before anything visible took form, Ruach Elohim was hovering over the waters. There was movement in the unseen before there was visible manifestation. 

For the Kingdom artisan, this reveals something important: everything Father gives us does not arrive fully developed. Sometimes what begins as a word, dream, Scripture, sound, burden, movement, color, or seemingly small seed carries the architecture of something much greater. The invitation is not to rush it into form, but to allow Ruach to move over it and Wisdom to teach us how to build.
