We have now reached the end of the road. After 29 episodes of GLOW we have come to the end of this season.

Cheyenne Cher is the new champion. Some wrestlers have left. There’s a new commissioner in charge. Best of all there are brand new segments.

To celebrate these new segments, today's episode has a new co-host. Matty and the Educator are off for the summer but Kevin’s wife has stepped in. Elise Hellions watches the last three episodes of GLOW and has a lot to say. Finally a woman’s point of view for the commentary, the outfits, the skits, and the in ring action. Tune in to hear what she hated, what she found enjoyable, and what was the most offensive.

In these three episodes there are less matches but more jokes. “Life in the GLOW House”, the sitcom within the show, debuts. Plus “Another GLOW-ing Moment” featuring a never before seen match.

Now while season 3 is paused they pivot to season 4 and will be watching season 3 of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling - available on the Tubi and Pluto apps. This trios team has been watching wrestling all their lives and debating the outcomes since high school. A special two part GLOW finale starts on today’s episode of the Hot Tag. This Thursday will be the last episode of the GLOW season but Matty and the Educator won’t be there! Kevin turns to the Kliq and brings on Mrs Hellions for today’s edition of the Hot Tag and the House GLOW.

Today Kevin and the Mrs sit down to discuss her history of watching wrestling. The golden age of TNA Knockouts. Watching Miss Elizabeth as a child. Seeing wrestling live. We discuss the differences between what was acceptable 30 years ago and what we don’t do now because we know better. Mrs Elise Hellions talks about what she knew of GLOW going into these last three episodes and how she feels now that she has witnessed the Gorgeous Ladies in all their glory. Today is a fun appetizer for Thursday’s last episode of the season.

Run For the Rubies Finals

That’s right fans, we have finally reached the end. There will be many sad endings tonight but a new beginning is on the horizon.

Over the course of these two episodes, a new GLOW champion will finally be crowned. Cheyenne Cher, Godiva, and Roxy Astor remain. Which one of these three women will win the crown? Will there be nonsensical decisions that drive us mad? Of course! This is GLOW.

In other action, two titans of the ring collide in a sumo match. Chocolates are the best form of bribery. The mechanics of a Figure Four are debated. The Widow finds some iocane powder. GLOW’s greatest tag team debuts. Finally, our new GLOW commissioner is revealed.

That’s not all though, sadly. Today’s episode marks the end of this season for your trios tag team champions. Matty and the Educator will be taking the summer off. Stay tuned for goodbyes and get ready for Kevin’s new show taking over the Thursday spot.

Run For the Rubies Part 1 & 2

The House GLOW Run for the Rubies Tournament and Part One

An all new era of GLOW is here! Last episode, Ninotchka abdicated the GLOW crown. Now and for the next many weeks, the Gorgeous Ladies will be battling it out in the Run for the Rubies to crown a new champion.

The Ladies are fired up for this opportunity and we are blown away by an increase in talent level. The entire brand feels refreshed and ready to show why they deserve to be champion. Better in ring skills, better matches, better jokes. Many of the segments we’ve come to know and love are changed up.

Welcome wrestling fans to the most jam packed episode of The House GLOW thus far. Be prepared to see all of your favorite ladies multiple times this evening. You’ll be richer for it, but wait until you see how rich one of the wrestlers will be.

Many stores were shopped at. Much food was eaten. Then we had Night One of WrestleMania to look forward to. All you can eat sushi. Giant potatoes. Video games. Toys. Comics. Tapes. And so much more.

Who filled a car? Who struck out? Who needed adult supervision? All of these and so many more stories on today’s episode of the Run In.

He is a Spacie Award finalist and projects a never ending level of excitement for all of the comics coming soon from him and Second Sight.

Peter hails from Saint John, New Brunswick and we discuss some of the differences between being a geek in the United States or Canada.

Peter has written issues of These Damn Kids, Exciting Comics, Beetlegirl, Mississippi Zombie, and so much more. All of this within a few years! We talk about the creative process of writing and if Peter actually lives in an alternate part of Canada that has a longer than 24 hour day.

The handshake that rocks the wrestling world is here! On today’s episode of WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event we bear witness to the birth of the Mega Powers!

On September 23, 1987 (airing October 3) the 9,000 fans that packed the Hersheypark Arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania watched the official face turn on the “Macho Man” Randy Savage. This is one of the most iconic moments in the height of WWF’s popularity. Savage is beaten down by the Honky Tonk Man and the Hart Foundation. Miss Elizabeth runs away. No! She runs for help and help arrives in the form of Hulk Hogan. Hogan sees this three on one attack and he has to be a man, he can’t let it slide. The Hulkster saves Macho Man and then the crowd erupts as the Maniacs and the Madness come together.

But that’s not all! In a special video premier, this episode features the exclusive debut of the “Piledriver” music video!

Plus all of the entertainment from your trios tag team champions. Matty asks someone out on a date. The Educator shows off his vocal range. Kevin receives an F in this week’s wrestling knowledge quiz.

Long time fans of the geek blog and podcast world are well familiar with the voice and words of William Bruce West. "He's forgotten more about pop culture than you'll ever know."

Will and Kevin have been friends for years but this is their first time talking to each other. They discuss blog origins, who inspired them, how to balance fatherhood and blogging, rebranding a creation, and so much more. Lots of comic book talk, along with plenty of that pop culture that he hasn't forgotten.

This episode is a long time coming. On a personal note Will has become one of my (Kevin's) best friends and it's all thanks to our mutual desire to put our thoughts out there for a world of strangers. Here's hoping this is the first of many discussions.

SNME #11 - Wrestlemania 3 Fallout

It just wouldn't be pro wrestling without some controversy.

This eleventh edition of Saturday Night's Main Event took place April 28, 1987 (aired May 2) at the Edmond P. Joyce Center in Notre Dame, Illinois for 9,345 fans excited to see what happens next after the iconic WrestleMania III.

Hulk Hogan is still champion, but Bobby "the Brain" Heenan and Andre the Giant have camera footage to dispute that. Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat is the new Intercontinental champion but a heated "Macho Man" Randy Savage isn't going to walk off into the sunset. Then a two out of three falls match for the WWF tag team titles that excites and angers not only the fans in attendance, but your trios tag team champions decades later.

All of that official in ring action plus the tangents that we are known for. Proper behavior for lumberjacks. Where is Hogan? We break down "American Badass" version of Jim Duggan. Will the Savage/Steele feud ever end? Who is the real Kim Chee? An ACL update. Plus Kevin's tale of how smut saved his life.

SNME X - Wrestlemania 3 Build

The biggest sports entertainment event of our childhood is nigh. This episode of Saturday Night's Main Event features most of the Superstars who will appear in front of 93,000 fans in just a few weeks. Stories are advanced and some of the most memorable matches from that pay per view come together on this episode.

Taking place right next door to where Mania will take place, at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit on February 21, 1987 (airing March 14) for 21,000 fans who probably also had their tickets in hand for the Pontiac Silverdome.

Ricky Steamboat and Randy Savage are ready to tear into each other. The battle of the full nelson is about to begin. Plus, Andre the Giant has recently turned heel and his feud against Hulk Hogan is so hot even the other wrestlers have to stop and bear witness to history.

We discuss the WrestleMania III build up. Could the opening quick promos segment work today? How exactly does one win a human and who decides the rightful possessor? Does WWF beta test ideas? And what exactly is an "official observer"?

The first episode was scheduled to stream at 5 PM on Thursday but to our surprise the first 10 episodes are now available. Today, Matty Treats and Kevin Hellions break down episode one featuring Jay White vs Tetsuya Naito from Wrestle Kingdom 14. SNME #6 - The Battle of the Big Boys

When big bellies collide!

No it's not time for your trios tag team champions to meet up at the local buffet. (Not yet.) It's time for the sixth episode of Saturday Night's Main Event featuring Uncle Elmer vs King Kong Bundy in the Battle of the Big Boys! This show was taped May 1, 1986 (and aired May 3) at the Providence Civic Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

In other action, Hulk Hogan opens the show when he teams with the Junkyard Dog accompanied by the Haiti Kid and they take on Terry and Hoss Funk along with Jimmy Hart. The British Bulldogs take on the Iron Shiek and Nikolai Volkoff in a two out of three falls match. THAT infamous Jake Robets and Ricky Steamboat moment. Plus the beginning of the Adrian Adonis: Bump Machine portion of the show.

Meanwhile the life updates you've come to know and love. Kevin is in the middle of intense comic book negotiations. Treats has a fast food adventure then gives a wrestling buddies update with a shocking turn. We also debate how many times is enough times to use an inappropriate word.

Welcome to the fifth episode of season 3 of the House Show and the first episode to feature legendary gargantuan heel, King Kong Bundy. This episode takes place weeks before WrestleMania 2. On this show Bundy has an iconic moment with then WWF World champion Hulk Hogan.

This episode aired March 1, 1986 (taped Februrary 15) from the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona for 12,000 fans. There is a lot of WrestleMania 2 set up featuring the aforementioned Bundy and Hogan but also Mr T, Roddy Piper, the Dream Team, and the British Bulldogs.

SNME #3 - Halloween Episode

Taped on Halloween night and airing two nights later, it's the Halloween episode! The heels and babyfaces have taken sides and will compete in challenges throughout the evening. But with a twist! This event takes place at the Hershey Park Arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1985 (airing November 2) in front of 8,000 fans. Hershey Park means chocolate and there is an abundance of it throughout the show.

Your favorite WWF Superstars are in full Halloween costumes for the backstage competitions. Captain Lou Albano takes on King Kong Bundy in a chocolate pie eating contest. Bobby Heenan takes on Cousin Junior in a pumpkin bobbing competition. Pumpkins inside a tub of chocolate syrup! Roddy Piper entertains some trick r' treaters. In the finale, the heels battle the faces in the traditional pumpkin pass.

We discuss the charisma of the Junkyard Dog. Did anyone think wrestling was real at this time? How much money would it take for any of us to publicly embarrass ourselves? Who is the real Dream Team?

Plus a debut of a brand new segment involving the main event of the show every week.

It's a new year and you know what that means! The House Show is back with a season 3 and we will be focusing on the iconic WWF network TV series, Saturday Night's Main Event.

This first pilot episode aired May 11, 1985. Mother's Day! This was taped the night before at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY for 8300 fans. This debut show takes place during the height of the Rock n' Wrestling Connection. There isn't a backstage interview set. The camera angles are strange. Everything about this show is different. Which means your trios tag team champions are excited to watch the evolution of WWF into the television powerhouse they are today. We discuss the Saturday Night's Main Event schedule. Santa With Muscles

Ho ho ho baby! It is Christmas eve morning. What better way to prepare for tomorrow's festivities than with your favorite three wise men - the House Show trios tag team champions.

We sat back and watched the 1996 holiday classic, Santa with Muscles. Starring the one and only Hulk Hogan this 97 minute feature took us multiple days to get through.

Hogan stars as Blake Thorn, a millionaire who loves to put his face all over his vitamins and supplements. (Type casting.) Blake and his crew are avoiding the police and he disguises himself in a Santa costume. While hiding, Blake takes a bump on the head and now is convinced that he is Santa himself. Blake does what any Santa does - beat up petty criminals and embrace a strange pull to the local orphanage. The orphanage is under attack by an evil scientist, played by Ed Bagley Jr. Blake, along with his elf buddy Lenny, and the children and staff of the orphanage, figure out who he used to be and maybe help him become someone better.

Your trios champions break down all the ups and downs of this iconic Hulk Hogan performance. We question everything in front of the camera and behind the scenes. This leads to the longest Hot Tag in show history.

All of that plus, a shocking revelation that might get the House Show kicked off of the Retro Network. Will Kevin return for season three? Or will Matty and the Educator distance themselves from his controversial opinions?

The season two finale!

We have reached the end of the Halloween Havoc series. WCW dies not with a big bang, but with a whimper. This event constantly lands on worst pay per views ever lists. Do your trios tag team champions agree? There are many sighs, swears, and a very short debate at the end of the episode.

Along the way we debate if WCW could have used their own version of NXT. How exactly does one check DNA? Is this the worst announce team we've ever listened to? How much happened "earlier tonight?" Halloween Havoc 1999

Oh baby and oh no! This is the most shocking year to year change in Halloween Havoc history. Your trios tag team champions hosts have trouble wrapping their minds around each and every head scratching moment.

This eleventh incarnation of the series took place October 24, 1999 once again from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but this time in front of nearly 8500 fans. The attendance is down but can this still be considered a sell out?

Your hosts are from New York and we still don't get what took place on this show. The "Powers that Be" - former WWF writers Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara - are now in charge of WCW and it shows. We debate some things that worked, a lot that didn't, and all points in between. We're not the only ones confused by these changes because the camera crew, the referees, and even the announcers have their moments throughout this event.

In addition to breaking down the matches and segments from this pay per view we also discuss the Total Package, Hugh Knobbs, and Nitro cologne.

Halloween Havoc 1998

We’ve talked to the Retro Network and have been granted extra time. That’s right, we’re going to discuss the night WCW went off the air.

Taking place on October 25, 1998 once again from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in front of over 10,000 fans and millions more at home who wanted their money back. This tenth installment of Halloween Havoc is notorious for going off the air before the main event. The show ran nearly three and a half hours but the feed was cut at the three hour mark. Hollywood Hogan and the Warrior face off in a rematch from WrestleMania VI. Goldberg takes on Diamond Dallas Page for the WCW title, but the show goes to black as they lock up. WCW played the main event for free the next night on Nitro and it’s one of the best matches in Halloween Havoc history.

Halloween Havoc 1995

Oh baby! It's finally time for one of the most memorable, most iconic moments in wrestling history. When wrestling fans are asked to name the greatest matches of all time, certain names are guaranteed to come up. Flair, Hart, Michaels, and of course Sumo Monster Trucks.

Taking place on October 29, 1995 (with the Monster Truck angle taped the night before) from the Joe Louis Arena and Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan in front of 13,000 fans. The night builds up for Machine vs Machine and Man vs Man. Hulk Hogan and the Giant will face off in their own monster trucks on the roof of Cobo Hall. Then these two titans will collide over the WCW World heavyweight title. The ending to this match is one of the most absurd moments in pro wrestling history and we have been waiting to discuss this event.

In other action, we debate the overall story lines for the other members of the Dungeon of Doom. The IV Horsemen ride again. Plus some wrestlers make their one and only appearances in this series.

Today is the end of an era. Finally, after becoming the biggest champions of the 1980s in separate companies, Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair will collide. However, only one will survive, because tonight is a retirement match! We will never see one of these legends ever wrestle again!

Over 14,000 fans packed the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit Michigan on October 23, 1994 to see which one of these men is truly the real world champion. Hogan brings plenty of his WWF friends along with him to WCW and the 1994 card has a lot of new but familiar faces to WCW.

Halloween Havoc 1992

It's time. Time for the most famous phrase in Halloween Havoc history. It's time to...

Spin the Wheel. Make the Deal!

That's right. Tonight's event happened October 25, 1992, from the Philadelphia Civic Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in front of 7,000 loud wrestling fans. What is the main event? Sting and Jake "the Snake" Roberts will face off in a match with an unknown stipulation. Sting must spin a wheel full of dangerous specialty matches and accept whichever one the wheel finally lands on.

In another action it is a night of confusing title matches. There are two World titles defended. The tag team champions carry two sets of belts. And the United States title is defended but not by the champion. All will be explained during the episode.

We start off with a Steiner math discussion. Is Matty Treats early or late for tonight's recording? Treats has more pressing issues though and we analyze his morning criminal mind ritual. We discuss why we think some wrestlers were only active in certain eras. Plus, would an amazing angle on tonight's event work today?

1.5 - The Run In: The Draft

It's time to shake things up again!

This Friday on Smackdown will begin the 2020 WWE Draft. Every talent from Raw or Smackdown is eligible to switch shows. This, in theory, inspires new matches, fresh starts, and new opportunities. And that usually works for one or two people that are moved around each year.

When your trios tag team champions were younger we used to do mock drafts of wrestlers all the time. To get wrestling fans excited and to reminisce, we will be holding our own draft on the next two episodes of The Run In.

The rules are simple. Anyone on Raw, Smackdown, NXT, or AEW is eligible. Tag teams count as one pick but a faction has to be broken up. This will be a snake draft so whoever has the third pick in one round then has the first pick in the next round.

We already shocked each other with our picks now it's time to shock the listeners. Don't forget to let the hosts know if you agree or disagree. This starts off cordial, gets heated, and next week is sure to be even more intense.

It's time for season 2!

Welcome to the newly christened Haunted House Show podcast. For the next 12 weeks we will take a look at the entire NWA/WCW Halloween Havoc series. Every year. Every match. Your trios tag team champions will carry over the top 5 matches and top 5 shows rankings just like we did for In Your House.

NWA/WCW was a different beast than the WWF product at the time. More emphasis on wrestling instead of sports entertainment. This inaugural event features many familiar faces in more serious personas.

Tonight's show took place October 28, 1989 at the Civic Center for 7300 fans in one of the greatest cities for wrestling: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jim Ross and Bob Caudle call the action. Gordon Solie and Chris Cruise do all of the backstage interviews. Everything about this show is different than what the WWF In Your House series showed. There is not just one type of wrestling out there, and jumping from 1990's Attitude era to this is a culture shock.

To ease listeners into this change, your hosts promise to stay the same. Matty Treats talks about his terrible work week. We talk about the strangest things we've ever done on a lunch break. Tonight is a night of firsts. The first Unforgiven event. The first Inferno match. The first evening gown match. All of these first took place April 26, 1998 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina in front of over 21,000 fans. This is a hot show for more than one reason.

WrestleMania was the previous show and the era of Austin has begun. It's a new era for the rest of WWF as well. Alliances have changed. Characters have altered. The entire company is following Stone Cold's example and not looking back. The Nation of Domination has mutinied their leader and the Rock is the newest cool heel. The new D-Generation X is upsetting everyone in WWF. Wrestlers from another promotion are invading. The women finally get a match and it's a real monkey's paw be careful what you wish for. One of the most dangerous matches in the WWF makes its debut. Finally, Mick Foley shows why he was one of the best Superstars in all of the WWF during the late 1990's.

The Mad Libs of pay per views! Throw people together. Throw matches together. Give me two nouns. This is an odd yet interesting show taking place right in between the Royal Rumble and next month's WrestleMania at which Stone Cold Steve Austin won his first WWF World title.

This event took place February 15, 1998 at the Compaq Center in Houston, Texas in front of over 16,000 fans. Stone Cold is the biggest thing in wrestling, followed closely by D-Generation X, and you should hear the ovation for Sable. But one person is missing. Shawn Michaels was injured "training" (or during his Casket Match at the Royal Rumble) and won't be wrestling tonight. Who is a big enough star to take the place of the current WWF champion?

In the two months since the last In Your House PPV, Bret Hart has left the WWF, Shawn Michaels has officially formed DX, the New Age Outlaws are ruling the tag team division, and Steve Austin can wrestle again. There's so many changes in two months it feels like two years.

This event took place on December 7, 1997 at the Springfield Civic Center in Springfield, Massachusetts in front of over 6,000 fans. Sgt. Slaughter is trying to keep order in the WWF but those degenerates foil him at every turn. Thankfully, a returning hero full of morals has come from the world of Ultimate Fighting to have Sarge's six. Tonight, New will take on O.L.D., a champion will be crowned, we find out who is the toughest man. All of this and so much more!

Welcome to the Taylor Swift show! This is one of the most memorable shows in the In Your House series for many reasons, and we will talk about all of them on today's show. It's a night of firsts, including our first contest! That's right, we announce the details of our first giveaway contest on today's show! After last month's brawl, the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels are still warring with each other and only one structure can confine them. It's the debut of Hell in a Cell! This pay per view takes us from the pinnacle to the pit because earlier in the day the WWF found out that Hart Foundation member Brian Pillman was found dead in his hotel room.

These highs and lows took place in front of over 21,000 fans at the Kiel Center in St. Louis, Missouri on October 5, 1997. Stone Cold Steve Austin has been stripped of the Intercontinental title and the finals to crown a new champion take place tonight. Brian Pillman was supposed to take on Dude Love on the PPV so replacement matches are needed. Plus a Flag Match that surprises everyone, including Vince McMahon.

In addition to the contest announcement on the show we also share too much personal information. We debate how to introduce new characters. How the WWF addresses deaths of their talent. Ground Zero: In Your House

Everyone go to the bathroom before starting the podcast, because we're not stopping until we discuss all three hours of this pay per view. That's right, for the first time in the In Your House series this show is an hour longer and this new time frame continues for the rest of the shows.

Ground Zero is also the first show to put the event name in front of the In Your House tag. This took place September 7, 1997 at the Louisville Gardens In Louisville, KY for... under 5,000 fans. That's not a good pay per view crowd during the Monday Night Wars. Hope WWF can still afford someone's multi-year contract in a couple months.

At SummerSlam the month before, Bret Hart began his fifth and final WWF Heavyweight title reign when he defeated the Undertaker with help from Shawn Michaels. Shawn was the guest referee for the match and his hatred of Bret is well known. Shawn swings a chair for Bret's head but the Hitman ducks and the chair collides with the Undertaker. Shawn is forced to count the three that he caused. After this, the Undertaker vowed vengeance on Shawn Michaels.

Meanwhile, Bret Hart is feuding with a brand new face to the WWF. The Patriot! As the Canada vs. United States story continues, the Patriot provides a perfect counter for the Hart Foundation. He also fills a huge gap left by the injured Stone Cold Steve Austin. Don't worry though, Austin is on the show to reluctantly give up the tag team titles.

We talk about Brian Pillman's health and the blurry lines between fantasy and reality. How do wrestlers plot out a triple threat and what is the learning curve for a new type of match? The light heavyweight division begins and the minis debut on PPV. Matty Treats tells a terrifying and hilarious moving story. What are our favorite foreign objects? Is Crush over? The history of the Patriot plus what did and didn't work for him in his WWF career. The discussion ends with one of the biggest debates in show history. Who has had the better seven year career? I'm expecting angry messages.

Arguably the hottest crowd in WWF history. Reactions so loud they literally, not figuratively, shake the building. At the height of WWF's Hart Foundation vs the United States feud this event is held north of the border. Taking place July 6, 1997 from the Canadian Airlines Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in front of over 12,000 of the most passionate fans you'll ever hear.

Bret Hart returned to the WWF and found a changed landscape. Fans were behind a foul mouthed rebel by the name of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Bret blamed the disrespectful bloodthirsty culture of America. In one of the most creative ideas in wrestling history Bret and the rest of the Hart Foundation were the biggest villains in the United States and cheered as heroes in every other country.

In other action, two future world champions battle it out. The WWF begins to toy with a light heavyweight division to counter WCW's cruiserweights. The Undertaker's original challenger for tonight's World title match is injured, so who do they call as a replacement?

These two shows flow together so well that we finished talking about In Your House 14 and continued into the 15th installment. We didn't want to tell you all about the set up that takes place on 'Revenge of the Taker' and make our listeners wait a week for the pay off at 'A Cold Day in Hell.' Plus, take a look at these two events on the WWE Network. The graphics are exactly the same, only the dates have changed.

Revenge of the 'Taker takes place on April 20, 1997 at the Rochester Community War Memorial in Rochester, NY in front of nearly 6,500 fans. Steve Austin is about to become the hottest thing in all of professional wrestling. A month earlier at WrestleMania 13 was the infamous double turn in which Austin became a face and Bret Hart turned into WWF's biggest heel. The Hart Foundation is here hating America while simultaneously beloved in Canada and other countries. Some of the Attitude Era's biggest stars are here, just before breaking through.

In Your House: Final Four

WWF In Your House: Final Four took place February 16, 1997 at the UTC Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee in front of just over 6,000 fans who were guaranteed to see a new WWF champion crowned.

This is a crazy set up so buckle up. The Royal Rumble saw a controversial finish. Steve Austin was eliminated but the referees didn't see it. He came back in and eliminated Vader, the Undertaker, and Bret Hart thus winning the Rumble. The plan all along was to have these four men face off again at In Your House: Final Four to decide a definitive winner who would then go on to face the WWF champion (Shawn Michaels) at WrestleMania 13.

The problem was, Shawn Michaels didn't want to lose his title to Bret Hart. I mean, Shawn had a knee injury. I mean, Shawn "lost his smile". No matter what the truth was the fact is Shawn Michaels gave up the WWF title three days before this pay per view at Thursday Raw Thursday Live. This four way match that was meant to crown a new #1 contender is now for the vacant WWF title.

In Your House: Buried Alive

Buried Alive was held at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 20th in front of nearly 10,000 fans.

As the name implies the main event of this match will see either the Undertaker or Mankind buried alive inside of an open gravesite within the arena. A match which will see the debut of one of the "greatest" Superstars of all time.

The show opens hot with the reason you're all here, headset issues! Heel Jim Ross has issues at the announce table and it affects the entire show. Which is a shame, because there's a lot of talented Superstars on this card who deserved more attention. Heels wrestle against heels! Dogs and cats, living together!

We have many questions this episode. How awful do front row fans have to be before they're kicked out? Does Mr Perfect keep women in his garage? How did Sid get over? Who thought heel JR would get over? And what is the proper method to shovel dirt into a grave?

The third brand under the WWE umbrella, NXT, held a live special event on the WWE Network this past Sunday, June 7th. Six matches including three title matches took place at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida with zero fans attending.

That's right, a lot has changed in the 25 years since our usual WWF In Your House discussions. A lot has changed in the past 25 weeks. During Coronavirus times fans are not allowed in the building. We discuss how this affects the matches and the wrestlers.

Your hosts the Masked Library, Sweet Matty Treats, and the Educator of Excellence throw it back to earlier episodes of The House Show and our joined by the wrestling's greatest viral star, Krone Meltzer. Krone brings in a younger point of view for this modern wrestling show. Does he pass the Educator's tests?

WWE brought out some retro throwbacks for this event and listeners will be thrilled to hear about 2020 versions of some of your favorite segments on The House Show. We discuss couples in wrestling, hair colors, and how much wrestling has changed over the years. Multiple times during this show we winced in empathetic pain as recently injured wrestlers took scary bumps. We break down the new trend in wrestling - Cinematic matches - and rank the ones that have taken place this year.

Which wrestler needs to be a little sexier? What is the correct way to hide an illegal key? And why can't Kevin stick to his match rankings? All of this and more on this special episode of The House Show.

Bonus Episode - Battle Royal at the Albert Hall

How did we decide to review this event outside of our usual series? This was a request from listener Nick Opalewski! None of us had ever watched this event before and were looking forward to seeing something old but brand new to us.

This event took place October 3, 1991 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England in front of 5,000 fans. This is a few years before WWF In Your House began so there is plenty of talent seen here that we have not had the occasion to discuss. The Battle Royal was just added to the WWE Network in February 2018 and previous to that was a difficult event to find on VHS. Trust us. This is on the WWE Network but it's a bit difficult to find. Type in Albert Hall and that will help.

Your hosts start by throwing love and praise on your announcers for this evening: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "the Brain" Heenan. Were the Nasty Boys good? Who is the real world's champion? Why didn't Tito Santana change his trunks? How is a wrestler "fat" and fast? We point out the differences in the ring between now and then. Why do we keep looking at the Texas Tornado's feet? The Undertaker has one of his greatest ring entrances of all time. Why do some of these guys look so big? Allegedly. All of these questions plus match break downs, side tangents, and witty banter.

In Your House: Mind Games

WCW Monday Nitro has taken the lead. The kids who worshiped Hulk Hogan are now teenagers and young adults wanting something more edgy. WWF isn't yet fully committed to taking the product in a new direction. An upstart more mature company is getting noticed and fans are treating them as an equal alternative to WWF. All of this comes to a head September 22, 1996 from the CoreStates Center in the home of Extreme - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!

15,000 of the hardest to please wrestling fans on earth showed up for the tenth installment in the In Your House series. Kevin asks Matty Treats if he is one of those fans. As usual we comment on what the front row is doing and, wait a minute! They don't work here! Why are ECW wrestlers Tommy Dreamer and Sandman along with Paul Heyman sitting in the front row? We talk about wrestlers that appear but don't have matches, like the legendary Fake Diesel and Fake Razor. Discussion of Jim Cornette's wrestling talent. Rodeo Sunny appears. Jim Ross begins his heel turn. Mankind is in phenomenal shape. Kevin makes too many anime references. Then we talk about one of the most violent matches we've seen since this podcast began and how it matches up with our nostalgic memories. All of this plus our trademark match breakdowns, wrestling history, side stories, and bad jokes.

We discuss what may have really happened to the Ultimate Warrior and to Jake "the Snake" Roberts. Rodeo Sunny makes an appearance. We debate if Canadian wrestling rings are different than American ones.

This episode was taped on Kevin's birthday and became the birthday celebration/roast of the Masked Library! Hear about his own International Incident. In Your House: Beware of Dog

On May 26, 1996 WWF was presenting the eighth In Your House event. There was a powerful thunderstorm in the area but WWF always brings back up generators for their production trucks. Unfortunately the arena had no backup. Shortly after the first match airs, the feed goes out. WWF had to scramble. A plan for fans in attendance, a plan for those watching at home, and a plan for the wrestlers in the ring. The power returned and the pay per view was back on the air in time for the main event.

To make up for this act of God, WWF scheduled In Your House Beware of Dog for the following Tuesday. Monday Night Raw aired in between as scheduled, and the affected the results of the make up show. These few days are one of the craziest stories in wrestling history.

Beware of Dog 1 was held at the Florence Civic Center in Florence, South Carolina for 6,000 fans. Two nights later on May 28 Beware of Dog 2 took place at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina for 4,500 fans. To this day, this is the only WWF pay per view to ever take place in South Carolina. Maybe there's a reason for that.

It wouldn't be The House Show without tangents. Tune in to this episode as the Trios champions discuss: wrestling themed food trucks, when is it okay to insult a woman, what is "attempted alienation of affection", and could Goldust happen today? Kevin surprises the other hosts by saying something nice about Diana Hart Smith. A fan heckles the wrestlers so much it not only breaks their concentration, but also ours 25 years later. Plus the always popular crickets make an appearance.

In Your House: Good Friends, Better Enemies

WWF In Your House 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies took place April 28, 1996 from the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska in front of over nine thousand fans.

This is the oddest pay per view we've covered so far. Nothing makes sense and the main event is shocking. This show marks the last time Razor Ramon and Diesel appear in the WWF. Both men would soon debut on WCW Monday Nitro as Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, changing the wrestling industry as the new World order.

WWF is buying time on this show and even your favorite wrestling experts have trouble following what happens. How does a singles match become a tag team match? Does a good guy smoke cigars? We break down our thoughts on Vader, Diana Smith, Sunny, and Ahmed Johnson.

Finally, the main event is the most violent and surprising one we've watched so far. Tables, belts, and fake legs! It all comes to a head as Shawn Michaels ascends the throne as leader of the WWF's New Generation.

Your Trios Tag Team champions continue ignoring the doorbell as we break down WWF In Your House. This sixth iteration comes from Louisville, Kentucky. Taking place on February 18, 1996 in front of 5,500 live fans and 150,000 pay per view buys.

We have many questions while watching this event. Does a Crybaby match do anything to help the loser's career? What is the featured item of the week? Who the hell put Shawn Michaels on top of a house?

Shawn Michaels is still recovering from not only the attack in Syracuse, but also Owen Hart's boot. Can he make it to WrestleMania? A newly turned good guy Yokozuna returns and he has something to say. Kevin educates Matty Treats on Elizabeth Hilden's resume. We continue to be presently surprised by some great work, by both wrestlers and managers. Shawn Michaels acts inappropriately. The guys reminisce about the big blue steel cage. We disagree over the quality of the main event match. Then we're all on the same page to praise the most unexpected, original, shocking pay per view ending we had ever seen.

Spring is here but it's cold in your house! That's because on this week's episode we're heading to Canada. The fourth edition of the WWF pay per view series, In Your House, originating on October 22, 1995, at the Winnipeg Arena in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Over 10,000 fans were in attendance and this is a hot Canadian crowd which adds to the atmosphere of the show.

Weeks prior to this event, WWF Intercontinental champion was attacked in Syracuse, NY. Right down the road from where The House Show crew lived. We go through our memories of the event and try to get to the bottom of what really happened. Later we break down Goldust's debut match. The 1-2-3 Kid's slow heel turn. Did Dean Douglas get a raw deal in WWF? All of this and so much more.

In Your House: The Triple Header

For the first time ever, all three WWF titles will be on the line in the same match! It's the WWF world heavyweight champion Diesel teaming up with the Intercontinental champion Shawn Michaels as they challenge the WWF tag team champions Yokozuna and Owen Hart.

With four men in the main event, we needed four men to discuss the events of the evening. "The Masked Library" Kevin Decent, "Sweet" Matty Treats, and the Educator of Excellence are joined by longtime friend and living internet wrestling legend, Krone Meltzer.

In 2006, a young wrestling fan got into an argument on one of the biggest pro wrestling message boards of the day. He took this fight to the new media, YouTube. From there he became a phenomenon. Calling people out, breaking news, building his legend. Billed as the illegitimate son of wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, Krone has been mostly silent for years. He joins the House Show this evening for his first viewing ever of the WWF at this time.
