        <![CDATA[<p><br>Episode Notes</p><p>Global Innovation Adoption</p><p>In my Innovation class, one week left, I found out that propagation of innovation across geographies is much more difficult than most organizations imagine. </p><ul><li>Simple innovations like boiling water to prevent water-borne disease have not been adopted due to cultural bias. </li><li>Adoption of Smart Apps in the 2000s</li><li>Cloud technology adoption in different countries</li></ul><p>Strategies to overcome barriers and challenges include:</p><ul><li>Building community of practices</li><li>Education both codified and Tacit (had to look that one up)</li><li>Investment in skill set and R&amp;D</li><li>Extending Social Groups through Social networking</li></ul><p>Hoshin Kanri Matrix What?!?!</p><p>I read my required reading early in the week. Then started working on the assignments on Friday night. Come Sunday night 3 hours before the assignment is due If found a little thing called a Hoshin Kanri Matrix that I had to do. </p><p>None of the reading talked about Hoshin Kanri, It was just a little item in a long paragraph of items describing the assignment. How could I have missed it? I read about it and filled it out. This is what I found.</p><ul><li>Project Management Research loves to take the same data and look at in a hundred different ways.</li><li>80% of all projects do not come in on time and on budget.</li><li>People create research projects trying to solve this problem.</li><li>No one has solved the problem. But they can tell you there is a problem in several different ways.</li><li>This validates that Agile methods are best.
