We don’t have primarily a race problem or a division problem. Those flow out of a DELIGHT problem. Our unwillingness to live out of a delight in the finished work of Jesus Christ.


For some this will sound far too reductionistic or dismissive. They want- dare I say NEED - the problem to be outside of us (our heart and affections) and the solution to be other than devotion to Christ. Yet, man was made for the Lord and when delight in the Lord is distracted chaos of all kinds erupt.

]]> What is the major problem in racial division in the church? It is not CRT, BLM Christian Nationalism. Nor is it what side of the aisle one lands.  These things are contributing factors but not causal. 


So what is the major hindrance to racial unity in the church: DELIGHT!


We don’t have primarily a race problem or a division problem. Those flow out of a DELIGHT problem. Our unwillingness to live out of a delight in the finished work of Jesus Christ.


For some this will sound far too reductionistic or dismissive. They want- dare I say NEED - the problem to be outside of us (our heart and affections) and the solution to be other than devotion to Christ. Yet, man was made for the Lord and when delight in the Lord is distracted chaos of all kinds erupt.
