I thought it might be an interesting show to find a story of Doctor Who Classic that had any episodes being originally broadcasted on November 3rd.

Turns out there's ONLY ONE! Season 17's classic story, "The Creature From The Pit"!

Season 17 turned out to be a special season for quite a few reasons:
- 17 was Graeme William’s last year as Producer
- 17 was also Douglas Adam’s last year as script editor
- 17 was the final season of incidental music by Dudley Simpson
- 17 was the final season of Tom Baker’s amazing tunnel intro sequence
- 17 was the first season of Lalla Ward playing Romana II
- 17 had David Brierly voicing K9 instead of John Leeson

The Creature From The Pit also had a few "milestones":
- The first produced story featuring Lalla Ward as Romana II (though not the first story broadcast)
- The last story directed by Christopher Barry who had directed various Doctor Who stories as far back as William Hartnell's era

I am flying solo in this episode of the podcast, as Collin is busy moving residences and saving his company from certain disaster.

The time travellers soon uncover a plot that threatens the entire galaxy. But who is the mysterious Professor Edgeworth? Why has an alien Gastropod kidnapped twins? And will the Doctor recover in time to stop Gastropods taking over the universe?

Voted the WORST story of Doctor Who by Doctor Who Magazine in 3 separate polls, this is a real humdinger.

Arriving on the barren world of Androzani Minor, the Doctor and Peri find themselves embroiled in a long running war, fought between the ruthless Morgus and the sinister Sharaz Jek. At the heart of the conflict is a substance called Spectrox - both valuable and deadly! The Doctor and Peri end up being poisoned by the material, which is killing them slowly and painfully, and there is no cure.

With death just hours away, how far must the Doctor go in order to save his friend's life?

The Doctor's latest regeneration has proven more unstable than his previous ones. His two companions, Tegan and Nyssa, try to help him recuperate on the tranquil planet of Castrovalva. 

Adric has been captured by the Master, who is taking advantage of the Doctor's weakened state to ensnare him in an elaborate trap whose recursive nature threatens to destroy his mind.

As the Doctor begins to recover he realizes that the Master's trap for Adric is even more intricate than he could have imagined and that he will stop at nothing to gain his revenge over the Doctor.

The Doctor and Adric travel to Logopolis to repair the TARDIS' chameleon circuit, not knowing that a shadowy watcher is spying on him.

Meanwhile, his old enemy the Master has only recently gained secure longevity by possessing the body of Tremas, and revels in his safety. He has plans of his own for the planet of mathematicians, Logopolis, and a plan that could spell doom for the entire universe.

Could this mean the unravelling of the causal nexus and the end of the universe itself?

The Doctor must pit his wits against the Master in a desperate battle to thwart his plans. But he is aware that this might be a fight which could easily spell the end of his life.

In this episode we're tackling Tom Baker's first story as the 4th Doctor - Robot. Written by Terrance Dicks.

While a mystery is a fantastic idea, it would be neat if it wasn't such an obvious one. In this episode we go through Robot, as well as the evil Science Reform Society (SRS) - That is, if you can call 10 people a Society.

In this episode, we're tackling Planet of the Spiders. Jon Pertwee's final story as the Third Doctor.

It's a farewell to an era - not only to Jon Pertwee's Doctor, but also to UNIT - United Nations Intelligence Taskforce - which has been a solid pillar of the Doctor's original exile to the Planet Earth.

It's one of Pertwee's better adventure stories, and it just happens to be his first one! How lucky are we?!

After landing near an Earth colony on the planet Vulcan, the Doctor, Ben & Polly find themselves in the middle of a mystery over the death of an Examiner from Earth. Soon they find themselves in the midst of a power struggle over the colony with some not-so servient Daleks involved.
