In this episode, I preview the big weekend for Maverick athletics as the men's and women's hockey teams and men's basketball team look to come out on top. The women's soccer team and men's football team will also start tournament play in the NCAA Division II Tournament. There are also two very fun events on campus this weekend, a silent disco and Mankato's Jazz Mavericks Big Band will perform! I also go over the Maverick Food Pantry and how students can get involved whether it be to pick up food or to volunteer.

In this episode, there is quite a schedule of events here on campus! From local singer/songwriter Luke LeBlanc to a showing of the "Barbie" movie, there is always plenty for students to do here at MNSU! Sports-related events, twelve members of the men's football team have combined to receive 13 All-NSIC honors for their efforts on the field this season, the women's soccer team will open NCAA Division II Central Region tournament play against No. 5 seed Central Missouri, and the women's hockey team looks to get back in the win column as they face Bemijdi State.

Upward Bound at Minnesota State University, Mankato is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive where students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to donate if they can! Minnesota State University, Mankato’s 2023-2024 Good Thunder Reading Series is hosting its next event when writer Shelley Wong visits campus for a series of events. The Student Executive Team is also hosting a Leadership Summit which includes a panel and networking time with important leaders and executives who work in a variety of fields and industries. Lastly, Dr. Jameel Haque is hosting a lecture where he plans to cover topics in order to help those who do not know enough about the war in Gaza to form an educated opinion.

In this episode, I go over the Adam Sandler Club and the Minnesota State Mankato Collegiate Bass Fishing Team. Both clubs are hoping to raise money in order to keep their clubs running and to allow students the opportunity to be a part of something they enjoy here on campus. The Maverick Involvement is also hosting a How to Lose an Audience in 10 Ways leadership workshop and the second activity in a series of events about birds and conservation in Minnesota, Birding for Everyone, will include two guest speakers for students and the public to learn more about birds and conservation in Minnesota!

In this episode, I remind students about the Annual U-Lead Conference and the keynote speaker who is closing out the event, Erik Westrum. I mention the Wiffle Ball Club which is hosting its first public event tomorrow evening for students and faculty to join in on some fun! The men's and women's basketball seasons start this week and this weekend marks the final homestand for the women's volleyball team.
I then preview an event that is upcoming next Thursday because there are appointments required. Mankato’s College of Allied Health and Nursing is honoring active, reserve, and retired military members by offering a variety of dental, hearing, and health services for free. This is going on November 9th and in addition to the free services, a variety of programs ranging from dietetics to recreation will be offering health and wellness resources on a drop-in basis.

The University of Minnesota's Raptor Center is set to visit campus Wednesday and is open to all students, faculty, and staff! The 11th Annual U-Lead Conference: Building Healthy Habits as Leaders is a 2-day event for students to gain personal and professional skills that will help them in the future. The event will start on Wednesday and go until Thursday. To end the show, I mention the four Maverick athletes who have been honored this week for their achievements both on and off the field!

In this episode, I go over the Professional Sales Workshop hosted by the Student Executive Team featuring Tommy Merickel. This event will be extremely beneficial for students as Tommy will share insight on how to be successful in the workplace. A showing of the 2013 film Her will be hosted by the Maverick Alliance of Secular Students. There are also quite a few spooky events happening on campus today, both the CSU Haunted Takeover and a Halloween Horror Movie Night hosted by The American Institute of Graphic Arts - Mankato. The Mavs in Action and Neurodiversity Club are hosting meetings as well. Both the women's soccer and volleyball teams have matches this Friday as they both look to defeat Minnesota Crookston.

In this episode, I had the privilege of speaking with Dr. Amy Roisum Foley about the wind ensemble here at MNSU. She spoke about how she picks her pieces for their concerts, why she became a band director, and how students can get involved in the wind ensemble here on campus. I touched on the tough weekend for Maverick Athletics and how the teams are looking to get back into the win column in their upcoming games, but also the teams that had success over the weekend. Both the women's swim team and the men's and women's cross-country teams placed well in their respective events. On campus, there is an ASL Club meeting, the Maverick Involvement Team is hosting a leadership workshop, and the Access Your Abilities organization is screening Normal Isn't Real for students, faculty, and staff to learn the stories of four young adults with learning disabilities and ADHD who share their journeys to success in work and school and the strategies they use to manage their challenges.

The organization has expanded to include much more to meet the growing demands for leadership in these areas. In 2019, Ethan Dado joined Mankato Area Public Schools as its first agriculture/foods/natural resources teacher. Dado's duties also include leading the Mankato FFA chapter.

April 23, 2020 A group of Minnesota State Mankato students are doing their part to help with Governor Tim Walz's call for Homemade Mask Week to slow the spread of COVID-19. Mavs of Action Committee (MAC) is a student-run organization supported at Minnesota State University, Mankato. MAC focuses on social justice through education, advocacy, and activism with an inclusive and intersectional feminist lens. MAC strives to unite MNSU students in an effort to create change on the MNSU campus as well as in the Mankato, Minnesota community.
