Pray for Minnesota
A Prayer Guide for February 2026
by Daniel Viezbicke, Pastor at South Cities Church

How to Use This Guide
This prayer guide for February is designed for God’s people to pray for Minnesota
throughout the month, guided by his word. How else could we know how to pray
unless the Lord had taught us how to pray according to his will (Matt 6:9–13). The
Scriptures reveal his will, so I’ve put together this guide with his word at the
forefront.
Each devotional is approximately 250 words, with a paired text of scripture. Some of
these are passages I’ve been thinking about; some of these are passages that our
Saturday morning prayer group brought up. This is not a partisan prayer guide – I’ve
simply sought to be guided by God’s word, and then give points for how the text of
Scripture applies to how we should pray. All of the devotionals connect to one of four
areas:
1) How God’s truth should affect and guide us
2) How we should pray for ourselves and other Christians in Minnesota in this
moment
3) How we should pray for our neighbors and immigrants
4) How we should pray for our local, state, and national governments
Here’s a few pointers about using this guide:
- Read this devotional with your Bible in hand. Most passages I cite are bigger
than what I quote in each devotional. Read to get the entire context.
- Consider praying through this guide with your family or other Christians.
- Don’t worry if you miss a day. Just pray the next devotional, or slow down and
pray into the month of March.
- Add more Scriptures to each devotional. As you consider each devotional,
write in the margins other passages that come to mind.
I pray this guide is a blessing this February as you pray for our cities, our state, and
our nation.

SCC Media
South Cities Church
Lakeville, Minnesota

Some of
these are passages I’ve been thinking about; some of these are passages that our
Saturday morning prayer group brought up.
