We also discuss the hardships that all progressives, liberals, and social democrats face when they have to start picking up the tab for the costs of their policies.  Mayor Adams is New York City has finally discovered the costs to the Big Apple of being a "sanctuary city" for the tired, poor, huddled masses of the world... and according to Mayor Adams, NYC has never faced a graver threat and he "sees no end to it."  Hmmm... things that make you go hmm...  What happened to all that high-minded rhetoric that then-candidate Adams used to lecture us from the campaign trail just two short years ago?

We're also joined on the show by Tyson Langhofer, Esq., an attorney who leads the Center for Academic Freedom at the Alliance Defending Freedom, who joins us to discuss the recent victory announced by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in the case in which Langhofer and the ADF Team represented Prof. Nick Merriwether in his legal case with his employer, Shawnee State University (Ohio).  The University had previously required Prof. Merriwether to use pronouns at the request of one of his students, that were not the student's biological pronouns.  When Prof. Merriwether refused to comply, this case ensued.  The opinion from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals confirms the argument made by ADF, that the Government cannot compel a college professor (or anyone else) to say or state something that that individual knows to be untrue.  The Merriwether decision is an important victory for religious and academic freedom, and an important victory for individual liberty, whether one agrees with Dr. Merriwether's perspective on the issues or not.

Bill Taylor (R-Aiken) to talk about an Attorney General's Opinion about physicians' "Right to Treat" in SC and their right to practice medicine free from political pressure and oversight.  We discuss how the "politicization" of the treatment and medical response to COVID-19 has likely cost many thousands of Americans their lives.  Rep. Taylor shares some of his thoughts for dealing with the pressures that physicians and healthcare providers are facing in a world that has bizarrely chosen to make the treatment of a particular disease a political tool and endeavor.

Interview with Solicitor Jimmy Richardson - Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor (Horry, Georgetown Counties) Jimmy Richardson joins us in the studio to discuss some recent developments from the criminal docket and from the Solicitor's office, including a recent case involving an egregious murder that was filmed by the (now convicted) killer, who shared video of the killing with others over the "SnapChat" video sharing service.  Reese and Jimmy also discuss the special challenges posed by vulnerable adults among our retired population, and the example this week of a case involving a suit filed by the victim's family against DSS, with criminal charges brought in the same case against the care-giver for criminal neglect of a vulnerable adult.

Windy Lockhart joins us in the studio to talk about Red Hats America and an event that the Red Hats America Team has coming up later this week in Myrtle Beach.  We also joined on the show by Tim Hill, a former radio personality with Cumulus Media who was fired this month for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.  Tim explains why he chose not to take the COVID-19 vaccine, and why he thinks that was the right decision for him, and why he thinks this is an important decision for him (and everyone else who feels the same) to stand by, and to remain committed to defending our right to make these medical decisions about our bodies.

Mark McBride, Candidate for Congress (SC-7, Seat Currently held by Tom Rice(R)), joins us into the studio to talk about his campaign, and why he's running for Congress.  He also shares the details about an event coming up next week at Carmac Arms in Myrtle Beach.

In the Parting Wisdom segment, Reese discusses some observations he's taken from recent comments by the actor William Shatner about going into space, and a similar observation he took from reading a biography of Apple founder Steve Jobs this summer.  We all are going to die -- that is certain.  Our mortal bodies will fail, and we will die.  But we need not live in fear of death.  We have nothing to fear in death -- because the Cross has overcome death!

Let's Go Brandon! - OR - Ten Questions that Really Don't Make Sense:  Reese begins the show with a series of questions (HT to Bill O'Reilley) that illustrate just how backwards the thinking of the Biden Administration has been, and how much that have done, and continue to do, that is dramatically harmful to this nation.  The questions - mostly rhetorical - are still worth discussing.  It makes sense to us; why doesn't it makes sense to ALL of us???  The Ten Questions: (All begin with Does it Make Sense...)

  1.  To allow millions of foreign nationals to enter the USA unsupervised?
  2. To abandon Afghanistan completely, in the face of human rights abuses by the Taliban, when that will only encourage more abuse?
  3. To shut down the Keystone pipeline just to turn around and ask Saudi Arabia to expand oil sales?
  4. To support CRT teaching in schools that encourages our children to despise one another based on the color of their skin?
  5. For the federal government to spend so much money that inflation explodes, and the value of your savings is diminished, and the purchasing power of your wages decreased?
  6. To support no bail laws that allow criminals to commit more crimes?
  7.  To be one of only seven countries in the world that allow unrestricted abortions?
  8. To oppose voter ID requirements?
  9. To say that white supremacists are a larger terror threat than Islamic Jihadists?
10.  For a President of the United States to accuse his own country of systemic racism?

The ANSWER to all of these questions to the vast majority of us is painfully obvious!!  Why isn't the answer to these questions painfully obvious to our President.  The POTUS has advances all of these ideas within the last few months - some of them repeatedly!!

Horry County Rising:
April Thomas with Horry County Rising joins us on the program to discuss the Horry County Rising organization and its efforts to advocate for flood mitigation and planning efforts in Horry County.  Reese and April discuss the work that HCR has done, and the "consumer survey" that they have currently published in an effort to garner information to take back to elected officials about the importance of these issues to voters.

SCGOP Republican Action Conference:
Drew McKissick, Chairman of the S.C. Republican Party, joins us on the show to discuss a GOP Action Conference that has been planned and will be held in Myrtle Beach on the weekend of October 29, 2021.  We discuss the numerous guests that have been invited, including former President Donald Trump.  He also discusses recent polling and President Joe Biden's free-falling approval rating.

BIDEN SPEECH TO U.N.:  Brett Schaefer with the Heritage Foundation joins us on the show to discuss an article that he published this week on the President’s disastrous speech at the United Nations

Reese discusses how the reactions to Biden’s speech ranged from “disastrous” to indifferent.  Our allies are troubled by our lack of leadership and they feel that the U.S. is “lost” and  speech that POTUS Joe Biden gave to the United Nations this week, which was roundly panned by our friends and foes alike around the globe.  Schaefer discusses the various diplomatic mis-steps of this Administration over the last several months, and the disastrous ramifications that the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan will have for the standing of the U.S. on the World stage — for many years to come.

BORDER PATROL MOUNTED OFFICERS: Reese takes Rep. Maxine Waters to task for the despicable comments she made regarding the “whipping” of Haitians, which actually DID NOT OCCUR . . . . IT IS A LIE that she is repeating and propagating . . . . IT DID NOT HAPPEN, being the “worst thing to happen to People of Color since Slavery” — which is an utterly irresponsible and reprehensible thing to say.  She should be ASHAMED of herself - as should every politician who stood on the dais with her.  They should all hang their heads in shame and - more importantly - they should apologize to the Border Patrol agents in question, and to all law enforcement officers, for participating in such lies and reprehensible conduct!

On this episode of Saturday Morning Coffee, the Reese Boyd Radio Hour, Reese Boyd and Producer Glenn Dye discuss the return of mask mandates, and the looming threat of vaccine mandates, and the various reasons why government mandates never die!  We also discuss the relatively anemic Olympics and how it seems to be a rather "so-so" event that for whatever reason, many seem to be overlooking.  Reese and Glen share some of their favorite Olympic memories, from some of the more memorable Olympic teams in our past.

We talk a lot on this show about mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and how a government bureaucracy that obtains power never seems to be able to let it go (at least not permanently).  We discuss Texas Gov. Abbott's Order prohibiting vaccine or mask mandates in Texas. 

In other news, we discuss the President's rather astonishing claim this week that he was once an 18-Wheel Trucker.  No one seems to know this, except for the POTUS.  For its part, the White House has said that Biden "once rode in an 18-Wheeler." 

Sen. Josh Kimbrell (R-Spartanburg County) joins us on the program to discuss his proposal to dramatically scale back the personal income tax in South Carolina, and to eliminate the corporate income tax.  We also discuss other developments in Columbia that are (or should be) ver important to conservatives, including the "Save Women's Sports Act" which seek to prevent biological males, who self-identify as females, from competing in women's sports at the high school level.

Also in the second hour, musical artist Savannah Craven joins us in the studio to discuss her upcoming single, "Black Victor".  She also discusses her role in the forthcoming production of "Oklahoma!" which will be playing as an outdoor drama beginning August 19 at the Mount Rouge Farm in Roseland, VA.

In this episode of Saturday Morning Coffee, your host Reese Boyd discusses the rise of woke corporations and how their agendas are anti-American, and how Conservatives must be very careful about where we spend our money.  We discuss the current upheaval (a continuation) in the Horry County Republican Party, mostly stemming from a lawsuit that has been filed against the Party and its leadership.  In the second hour, Chris Neeley, Superintendent of the S.C. Statewide Public Charter School District joins us on the program to update on the status of charter schools in South Carolina.  We're also joined on the program by Rep. William Bailey (R-North Myrtle Beach), who serves in the S.C. House of Representatives.  Rep. Bailey talks about some of his biggest accomplishments, and some of his bigger frustrations, of serving a full term and part of his second term in the House.  Reese discusses "Stand and Deliver", a new song that has just been released by Eric Clapton, which opposes the lockdowns and vaccine mandates that so many countries are enforcing.  Reese also discusses the arrival of POTUS Joe Biden at Disney's "Hall of President's" attraction at the Magic Kingdom.  Reese poses a trivia question - asking why we have 46 Presidents (if you count Joe Biden), but only 45 animatronic figures in Disney's Hall of Presidents?

Speaking of birthdays, Reese discusses an upcoming birthday for Liz Callaway (Liz Callaway Morning Show, Weekdays 6-10am on talk945.com), and an upcoming birthday event for Liz that will benefit "Fostering Hope" in Conway, SC, and the work that they do providing clothing and school supplies for foster children in the area.

Reese discusses the alarming situation in California following the most aggressive COVID lockdowns in the Country that have been enforced there under Governor Gavin Newsome.  He discusses the welcome news this week that Conservative Radio Personality Larry Elder is running for Governor and talks about how our listeners can help the Elder for Governor Campaign.  Listener Larry Biddle calls the show to discuss his experience growing up in Sacramento, California, and what a great conservative governor he would make for the State of California.

Reese also discusses an article that appeared in The Nerve (www.thenerve.org) concerning some very large pay raises that just went into effect for many state agency heads and other state employees, questioning where some of our state government employees really needed to receive raises of 25%, 33%, or even 48% in some cases, in these trying and uncertain times that have caused so many in the private sector to lose their businesses or lose their jobs.  Reese asks for listeners to chime in and share their stories of when they last received a 48% pay raise!

Rep. Mike Burns, (R-Travelers Rest), member of the South Carolina General Assembly, joins us on the program to discuss the "Stop Tech Censorship in South Carolina" Bill (H. 3450), very important legislation that he has been championing in the S.C. General Assembly.  We discuss who you can do to help this very important bill become law, and Rep. Burns also discusses his involvement in recent anti-tax litigation in Greenville County, in which two "user fee" taxes imposed by Greenville County Council have been ruled by the Court as impermissible, in an important case that is likely to have state-wide implications.

Fred Lucas, chief national affairs correspondent with the Daily Signal and co-host of the "Right Side of History" podcast, joins us to discuss current events surrounding the protests in Cuba, how the United States can best respond, and what to look for in the days and weeks ahead.

In the Parting Wisdom segment, Reese discusses some wisdom he recalls his grandmother sharing...  "You'll catch more flies with honey than you will with vinegar!"  There are quite a few people in politics today - and in the Horry County Republican Party in particular - who would do well to remember that little bit of wisdom!  But for now, the circus antics continue within the Horry County GOP.  This time, the antics are in the form of a vote this week to censure State Party Chair, Drew McKissick, for something that he said about the Greenville County GOP.  (Bear in mind, McKissick hasn't actually DONE anything yet, and none of us know how all the things happening elsewhere in the State are going to play out, but for good measure, let's just go ahead and censure McKissick and get that out of the way.)  Right!  Big future there, folks.

Jan 6 Riots:  Reese discusses a recent interview with Darren Beattie, with Revolver News, that aired on Tucker Carlson's show this week, in which recent allegations that have surfaced that the FBI may have been far more involved in the events of January 6 than we have previously known.  If true, this could be one of the biggest (and most harmful) stories of this year, if not the last 50 years.  Reese is joined on the show by Jim Furry, a retired former FBI Supervisory Agent, to discuss this very important story.

Check-in with the 15th Circuit Solicitor:  the Hon. Jimmy Richardson, Solicitor for the 15th Judicial Circuit (Horry/Georgetown Counties), joins us for an update from the Solicitor's Office.  We discuss recent death-penalty legislation in Columbia that has brought executions back from an unofficial hiatus in South Carolina, and other information regarding the Solicitor's office, and Richardson's campaign that has just been launched to seek re-election to his post in 2022.

Reese also discusses the ongoing dilution of “truth” in our culture, and the importance of standing up for objective standards for what is true, what is reality, and what is not.  The very dishonest press reporting of the Mollie Tibbits murder trial is discussed, along with the manner in which the USA Today newspaper forced high school athlete Chelsea Mitchell to re-write her recent op-ed piece on transgender athletes, because she used the term “male” to refer to males!  Reese and Glenn also discuss “the Fauch” (Dr. Anthony Fauci) and his latest “flip-flop” on matters of great import, this time on the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.  In addition to Dr. Fauci, we discuss the startling press conference this week by which the President has now directed US Intelligence agencies to investigate the origins of COVID-19.

Reese gives a special shout out to Jon Bonsignor and the Community Law Enforcement Appreciation Committee, which is meeting again after taking a break in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Reese also discusses the announcement this week that Southwest Airlines has begun service to the Myrtle Beach International Airport, and also an essay contest that is now underway that will give away electric school buses to schools in four school districts in South Carolina.  Reese and Glenn also discuss the new Ford F-150 “Lightening” and whether or not we are ready to drive an electric truck.

Lt. Governor Pamela Evette joins us to talk about the hard questions - like what's her favorite flavor of ice cream - and the other pressing questions that our President must answer each day.  Lt. Gov. Evette discusses the accomplishments of the just-concluded legislative session, including the “Heartbeat Bill” that was signed into law by Gov. McMaster, making S.C. a sanctuary state for the Second Amendment, progress that was made on school choice legislation, and other major accomplishments.  Reese and the Lt. Reese notes some of the more bizarre news of the week, including a school shooting by a 6th grade student in Idaho, which thankfully resulted in now fatalities, and a school bus hijacking outside Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC, that thankfully also resulted in no serious injuries.  Reese discusses a rather startling report published in Rolling Stone magazine this week that chronicles no less than 44 fatalities that are either suspicious, or confirmed homicide or suicide, at Fort Bragg, identified in a recent investigation by the magazine.

We give an Election Integrity update and discuss ongoing efforts in Arizona (Maricopa County) and Michigan to get to the bottom of what happened in the November 2020 election.

Paul Gable joins us on the program to discuss a rather bizarre Horry County Council meeting that was adjourned suddenly on Tuesday evening, half-way through the published agenda, apparently as a result of one Council member's request that certain information, which is clearly public information, related to how much the County spends on legal fees, in an effort to prevent that discussion from taking place.

Tom Herron ("Up With America") also joins us on the program to discuss the recent schism within the S.C. GOP, and Lin Wood's campaign to unseat incumbent Drew McKissick as Chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party.

It's Saturday Morning Coffee for April 10, 2021!  This week's topics include: the most recent troves of lies and falsehoods that have come out of the White House in recent days.  Johnnie Bellamy joins us on the show to talk about the Myrtle Beach Republican Womens' Club.  We have an election law integrity update, with the latest news from several battleground States.  Up and coming artist Savannah Craven joins us for a unique perspective and the debut of her new single, "Be Like Candace."  Reese discusses the ongoing race for Republican Party Chairman in SC and the upcoming GOP Conventions to be held in Horry County and in Columbia, SC for the State Party.

Reese is also joined on the show by John Cummings, who recently relocated to the SC Coast, but who ran in the 2020 election cycle against the infamous AOC in NY-14.  While John didn't win his race, he swung well beyond his weight, and substantially outperformed the partisan registration split in NY-14, and has a lot of great wisdom to share that he learned from the experience.

In the second hour, Dave Wilson with the Palmetto Family Council joins us to talk about the current state of affairs in the South Carolina General Assembly, including the status of the "Save Womens' Sports" Bill, and the efforts that Palmetto Family is working on to combat human trafficking in the State.  Reese and Dave also discuss an important event coming up in Columbia on April 29, when Palmetto Family will host a gala evening that will include a very special guest, Vice President Mike Pence.  This will be the first public event appearance that the former Vice President has made since leaving office in January, so we're excited to be able to share this event with you hear on Saturday Morning Coffee.

In the final Parting Wisdom segment, Reese and Glenn discuss the forthcoming release of all government information on the subject of UFO's, and recent comments that have been made about the report for the former Director of National Intelligence, among others.  Reese discusses the sad news of Tiffany Guinn, murdered by her husband in a tragic episode of domestic violence in Horry County this week.  Reese discusses this horrible tragedy, and the needs that it points to for a safe and suitable domestic violence shelter in Horry County.  Also on the subject of domestic violence, Reese notes a very disturbing case now pending in the Supreme Court where the DOJ and the Biden Administration are advancing the argument, in a case involving allegations of mental instability and domestic violence, that the police should be able to enter your home, without a search warrant, seize your weapons, even if they are perfectly legal and properly registered to you, and be able to keep them, without ever getting, seeking, or receiving, a search warrant or any order of any court, authorizing either the initial search, or any subsequent seizure.  This is FLATLY unconstitutional, and the Supreme Court should strike it down, but this, ladies and gentlemen, is the America that Joe Biden and his DOJ want you to live in!

Convention of the States - Chris Poyatt with the Convention of States joins us on the program to discuss the ongoing effort to convene a Convention of the States for purposes of considering proposed Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

Big Tech Censorship: Reese discusses the grave threat to democracy posed by the censorship of conservative groups and ideas that companies like Facebook, Twitter, Amazon/AWS, Google and others are now engaged in.

Jared Dillian joins the show to talk about the election, and what the impact may be on markets as we move forward with Democrats in control of the White House and also the Congress.  Reese and Jared also discuss the potential threats to the U.S. posed by China as it continues to grow in economic and military power.

Reese discusses a new section that has opened in Lichfield Beach on the Murrells Inlet bike trail, and a nice bike ride enjoyed over the weekend, along with some reflections from a visit to a coffee shop on the ride.  We discuss the history of the "lockdowns" for COVID-19 and the need to return our lives to something that is more normal.  We discuss the harm that lockdowns and slow-downs in the economy have caused for small business.  Reese discusses recent experience with DHEC, "contract tracing" and how his household responded to COVID-19.

We discuss the "New Years Resolution" phenomenon, which resolutions often work, and which do not.  We also discuss the "most overworked" words of 2020, and several words and phrases from 2020 that we are sick of hearing.

We discuss the critical issue before us - "ballot integrity" - and the need to fix the problems that appear to have compromised the 2020 election.  We review the frighteningly accurate predictions made by the "Transition Integrity Project" - which were discussed on this program, and how they all seem to have played out just the way many of those participating in the project predicted.  Reese discusses the need to "fix" these issues going forward, and how we must fix this issue - which is now as important as any issue that we have to deal with.

Reese concludes the show with some words of wisdom on some things we should all focus on in 2021.

Election 2020:
Reese and Glenn discuss the news from the US Supreme Court, and the just-announced decision that the Court has made not to hear the case brought by the Texas Attorney General.  We discuss the questions involved - did the Court legally have jurisdiction to hear the case, and why it seems it chose not to hear the case.  Reese discusses the objections that some conservatives, like Ben Shapiro, have raised in response to the Texas petition, but why he thinks the Supreme Court should have at least considered the case, even if it did not choose to grant the relief sought by the Texas AG.  More important than the 2020 election itself, Reese notes, is how we prevent future elections from spiraling down this same path.  We discuss that voters are going to have vote in person, and we're going to have to use paper ballots, and figure out what other measures need to be implemented in order to prevent any repeat of this "dumpster fire" of an election from ever repeating itself - EVER.

Coronavirus Update:
Reese and Glenn discuss the latest warnings being handed down from Blue City Mayors and Blue State Governors, and Biden's Coronavirus Task Force, regarding the dangers of families gathering for the Christmas holiday.  "No Christmas Parties!", we are being told.  (Marching in the streets is perfectly OK, mind you, but that Christmas Party you want to host for your friends and family is strictly verboten!  We also discuss the approval of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, and also that dogs in France are being trained to detect the Coronavirus in humans by smelling their armpits.  (It's a very bad time to be a dog!). Reese notes that in any undertaking as complex as the development of a novel vaccine in as short a time period as this, there are bound to be a few mistakes that have been made, we just hope that they are few - and that their implications are not significant.  We discuss the question of why it would not seem to make sense for some demographics, particularly those under 30, to take the vaccine at all.

Reese discusses the idea that has been floated by various public officials, that there should be "racial preferences" observed in prioritizing the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine.  We discuss what an awful, harmful, terrible idea this is, and why no government official should use the distribution of the vaccine as an opportunity to further divide this already-divided nation on the basis of race or any other similar classification.

Groundhog Day, in December:
Reese introduces a new segment for the show, "Predictions and Prognostications with Puxatawney Phil," where your humble hosts give their predictions for the seemingly dark days ahead.  Special Guest Co-Host Don Bowne with Red Hats for Trump joins us to help launch this new segment.  For the first "Puxatawney Phil" segment, Reese reviews some of the Show's earlier predictions from May of this year, and discusses some of his recent predictions, as well as some new ones:

• China will NOT be held to account for its role in releasing and spreading the COVID-19 virus, and contributing to the size and devastation of the resulting pandemic, largely because:
• Joe Biden (unfortunately) will be sworn in in January, but he will not serve a full term.  Reese predicts he'll be removed from office in as less than 18 months, and that he doesn't believe Biden will serve more than 24 months of his first term.
• Don Bowne - makes a bold move and predicts that Biden will be out in six months or less.
• Glenn Dye days 8 months or less for President Biden.
• Reese says Commie-La will be President within 18-24 months from now.
• Reese also says during the first term of Biden-Harris, the Wall will be torn down, likely as a result of some "endangered species" that is "found" living under or around, in the shadow of the wall.

Reese asks if Donald Trump should continue to be the standard-bearer for the Republican Party in 2024, or do we need someone new to take up the mantle of leading the cause?  His prediction - for now - Trump will be back in 2024.  Reese also shows some particularly insightful prognostication from the Wall St Journal back in September, and a frighteningly prescient law review article by Edward Foley, a law professor at Ohio State University Law School, which was published back in May of this year.  The article predicts almost exactly and to the minute, what would happen in election night in Pennsylvania, back during the time when Elizabeth Warren, or all people, was considered to be the front-runner for the Democratic nomination.  These articles, and many others that we don't have time to talk about, raise the very important question -- if all of this was so eminently predictable, why did this TRAIN WRECK of an election unfold just exactly as so many of the doomsday predictors foretold?  How is it that we weren't able to prevent this from happening???

Parting Wisdom:
Take heart: Reese reminds us all that there are 70-80 Million Americans who believe that we are at our best when we are our most free, that the path to progress for all our people, for all mankind, lies with liberty, not with tyranny.  He notes that FREEDOM is worth fighting for, and that all of us are created in the image of God, that we were born to be FREE, and that life which is not free, is not worth living.  Reese shares some "Parting Wisdom" about beginnings, and endings, and our conviction that NOTHING ENDED on November 3.  This election was not an ending, it was a BEGINNING.  NOTHING HAS ENDED.

In this week's show, Reese Boyd and Producer Glenn Dye discuss the ongoing election saga and the various legal challenges now pending that have been filed by the Trump campaign, and the status of various swing states that are still "in play."  Reese reminds his listeners of the need to set up Parler and Rumble accounts, and otherwise to find alternatives to the "Big Tech" Oligarchs that are censoring conservatives' ability to speak their minds and to participate in the online public square.

Election Update:
Caller Tommy and Reese discuss predictions for what will happen in the Trump-Biden contest, and Reese's view that the President is not going to be able to reverse the "apparent" outcome of this election.  We all agree that there were problems with this election - major problems with this election, but we discuss how that is different from having the legal evidence in form (and quantities) sufficient to convince enough Judges in enough states that the "results" of this election should be reversed, because the fraud and other wrongdoing was of sufficient quantity (in terms of ballots canceled or illegally cast) to change the rightful outcome of this election.

Reese discusses the recent opinion from the Wisconsin Supreme Court, dismissing a challenge to that State's election results, and explains how the opinion well illustrates many of the objections that are being raised to the Trump Campaign's legal challenges in various States.

Trump vs. Biden:
We discuss the latest court developments on the litigation front challenging the "results" of the November 2020 election for POTUS.  Reese discusses his belief that it is very unlikely that the legal challenges of the Trump team will be successful in reversing the apparent Biden victory on November 3rd.  We discussed the rampant problems with mailing out millions of "absentee ballots," unsolicited, and the many other problems that are evident in the November voting.  The various legal arguments being made by the Trump legal team are discussed.

Greg Sisson joins us in the studio for a discussion of the book he is reading, "The American Miracle" by Michael Medved, which talks about the miracle that America is, and the way that God's hand of Providence has been on this country since its founding.  We also discuss what impact a Biden Presidency might have on the real estate markets, and the economy in general.

Parting Wisdom:
Reese and Greg share some parting wisdom and words to live by.  Reese shares some particularly timely wisdom from Alex Trebek and Ken Boa, and particularly some great lessons that he learned at a recent seminar taught by Dr. Boa at the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove in Asheville, NC.

Horry County Schools and COVID-19:

Greg and John discuss the current status of Horry County Schools, and the recent plan to install plexiglass enclosures around student desks in our schools.  Senator Hembree discusses the current financial outlook and “per pupil” funding levels for South Carolina schools, and whether our education “outputs” are matching up with our education “inputs.”  Greg discusses his recent efforts to pass educational reform legislation in the S.C. General Assembly, and how the reform bills that had been passed in the Senate and House were stalled by the COVID-19 pandemic, and died at the end of the last legislative session.

The November 2020 Elections:

Greg and John discuss the results of the recent elections and the “blue wave” that was expected to arise in the Charleston area, but that failed to materialize, and the incredible money that was raised to challenge Senator Lindsey Graham in this cycle.  Numerous Republican Senators that were “targeted” by Democrats were successfully defended, and significantly, Nancy Mace beat Joe Cunningham.  Significantly, Vincent Sheheen and Glen Reese, both long-serving Democratic Senators, were defeated but relative political newcomers.  In total, Republicans in the Senate flipped three seats, which is “huge” because Democrats in the Senate can now no longer block Republican legislation with the filibuster.  (Greg notes that there is now no reason for the Senate not to pass a “conservative” budget because the Republicans are now “firmly” in control of the chamber.)

Greg discuss the demands of juggling and law practice and serving in the Senate, and running the occasional triathlon.

The recent press conference with the President’s legal team and other litigation stemming from the November 3rd election is discussed, as well as some startling allegations that have been made about the vote counting software that has been used to count millions of ballots in this Presidential election.

Listener Larry Biddle calls the show to discuss his thoughts on education, and to share some thoughts about the ground-breaking “Number 1 Initiative” that was launched at Conway High School in January 1984.

Greg concludes the show with some thoughts on burning turkeys, frying turkeys, and the many things that we have to be thankful for, and including a special thank you to first responders, police, doctors and healthcare workers, and others on the front lines dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reese and Producer Glenn Dye discuss the riveting DNC "Basement" convention and the media reactions to the show.  Reese discusses the fact that, despite the majority of COVID-19 deaths occurring in "blue" states, the Democrats, Blue state governors and blue city mayors, and uniformly adopting the talking point that COVID-19, and ALL COVID-19 fatalities (every single one of them!) are Donald Trump's fault!  We note that the only thing holding the convention's "fans" and "true believers" together is there insanely irrational hatred of President Donald Trump.

Reese discusses the Transition Integrity Project and this John Podesta project to hold "war games" on the Trump-Biden election in November.  The verdict - "prepare for a mess."  Reese notes the significant concern he has over the idea that prominent Democrats - and even some prominent Republicans - are  "gaming" various ways they might respond to an election result in November that they do not like.  The rather bizarre possibility that Nancy Pelosi might become President if the election (and its results) cannot be sorted out on a timely basis.  Reese comments on the "mail in voting" epidemic that has been unleashed in various states, and what a disastrous idea mail-in voting is.

Oran Smith, with Palmetto Promise Institute, joins the show to discuss an legal challenge to Gov. McMaster's plans to allow Cares Act funds to pay for school tuition in S.C., whether the schools involved are public, virtual, private, or parochial.

Coronavirus Update:  Reese and Glenn discuss the latest news on the Coronavirus pandemic, including the sad milestone we reached in the United Status this week of 100,000 COVID-19-related fatalities since the outbreak began.  We discuss the new "litmus test" - whether to wear a mask or not? - and also ongoing concerns about the renewal of emergency powers by the governor and other concerns about responding to future outbreaks of coronavirus, and regulating based on data and information, and not based on fear.  Reese and Glenn discuss Reese's first-since-the-lockdown haircut and the "Sneaky Sasquatch," our favorite new game from the quarantine.  After the candidate interview with Janice Morreall, Reese discusses his concerns with "Contact Tracing" and the arrival of contract tracing apps on your cell phone, which may not be "optional" in the future.

Candidate Interview with JJanice Morreale:  Janice Morreal, who is running to represent District 5 on the Horry County School Board, joins us on the show to talk about her campaign for school board, how the State of South Carolina and Horry County Schools have responded to the Covid-19 pandemic, the propspects for a "brick and mortar" re-opening of our schools in the Fall, graduation exercises and the prospects for high school football in the fall.

Coronavirus Update: Reese and Glenn discuss a brief update to the case and fatality numbers for COVID-19, and the contradictory statements that have been issued about the virus since this pandemic began, and how we are still learning about this virus and that we still have much to learn before we understand it.  A case in point is CDC's statement this week that the virus is generally NOT transmitted by touching contaminated surfaces, but rather by person-to-person infection.

Candidate Interview with John Gallman:  John Gallman joins us to discuss his campaign for S.C. Senate District 33 in the upcoming GOP Primary on June 9, 2020.

Interview with Rev. Jim Watkins:  Rev. SCGOP:  Reese discusses recent mailers that have been sent out on behalf of certain candidates in various races in the GOP Primaries, and how the Party seems to be unable to resist putting its "finger on the scale" while seemingly tasked with at least the nominal task of hosting a party primary that is fair and offers a level playing field to all candidates.  Recent mailers sent out by the Party supporting some candidates (ie, incumbents) over others (ie, challengers) are unfair on numerous levels, reek of swamp gas, and firmly establish "incumbency protection" as the Party's highest priority.

Interview with Rep. Tim McGinnis:  Rep. Tim McGinnis joins the show to discuss the coronavirus pandemic, and some of the things the he is working on in the General Assembly, including a rent relief proposal for small business that he recently forwarded to the Governor, to help small business owners and entrepreneurs survive the COVID pandemic and the continuing effects of the economic shut down.  Tim also shares his perspective as a small businessman and restaurant owner on the challenges of operating successfully, even now that restaurants have the opportunity to re-open dine-in service, but only to 50% of their pre-pandemic seating capacity.

S. 1200 - S.C. Senate Resolution Rebukes Governor:  We discuss S. 1200, a Resolution passed this week which condemns Gov. McMaster for repeatedly using the power to declare an ongoing State of Emergency in South Carolina, for a period of more than 15 days, without obtaining the specific consent of the General Assembly.
