In this episode, I’m getting into one of the questions I get all the time: what should you actually do after your massage?

Right at the start (00:31), I share why stretching isn’t just something to think about after your appointment, rather it’s something you should be doing daily, but especially after you’ve invested in your body with a massage. Then let's talk hydration! (02:54) Staying hydrated is how your lymphatic system drains, skipping it can leave you feeling “yucky” instead of refreshed. And believe it or not, rest is not optional. (04:18) It’s actually the best gift you can give your body after aaaaalllll that deep work. Thinking about moving on with your regular routine after a 90 minute massage? Or worse, heading to the gym? Think again! (05:49)

I hope you get some value from this episode. I look forward to supporting you on your wellness journey!

Schedule your massage in the Greensboro, NC area here.

This podcast is produced and managed by iMoves Management.

Hello Beautiful Sunshine!
This episode covers what it looks like to truly steward your body well as part of your Faith walk. There are some scriptures that I'm sharing to remind us God’s design for us is wellness. Believe it or not, there is a connection between holistic health and His will.

Scripture mentioned in this episode:

Isaiah 58:11

Hosea 4:6

James 1:5

2 Timothy 1:7

3 John 1:2

Revelation 12:11

Matthew 25:14–30

Whether it's food, media, or even habits--being mindful about what we’re putting in our bodies is the true key to self discipline and wellness. (04:15) But within all of that discipline, we have to strike a balance and not lean too far into the belief of “the power of me.” (07:25) And would you believe one of the things that helped me get even more serious about my wellness was my knee? (18:07) Finally, we shift into stillness, breathwork, and even a little chat about yoga. (19:28) Focusing on movement and breath are ways to honor the bodies God gave us. We wrap up with the call to steward all areas of life—body, mind, spirit, and relationships. In effort to prompt you to take action, you have some homework. (26:41)

I'm hopeful this episode serves you well, friend. Looking forward to supporting you in your wellness journey.

Stay connected with me:
Instagram https://www.instagram.com/gifted_healing_massage/?hl=en

This podcast is produced and managed by iMoves Management.

Hello Beautiful Sunshine!
This episode, we’re talking all about skincare, self-care, and how it all ties into being good stewards of the body God has given us. The heart of the conversation is why skincare matters, why sunscreen is important for every skin tone, and how faith influences the way we care for ourselves.

You’ll hear:
The story of how early exposure to sunblock shifted cultural norms and why protecting your skin goes way beyond looks (02:39).

Some of the common myths in the Black community about melanin, oily skin, and moisturizers (06:39)

The basics of daily skincare routines—cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, and why consistent maintenance matters more than expensive treatments. (10:26)

How caring for your skin connects to the bigger theme of stewardship in this season. (15:23)

Finally, we close with a powerful reminder that beauty is already there before the makeup goes on, and how intentional self-care can heal emotional wounds, boost confidence, and help you reflect God’s design from the inside out. (36:25)

I'm hopeful this episode helps combat the lunch table conversation about if Black people need sunscreen and how we engage in self care. I look forward to supporting you on your wellness journey!

This podcast is produced and managed by iMoves Management.
