Talking about “the end of the world” might sound like something out of a sci-fi movie or a conspiracy TikTok. Why are we even talking about this? It’s giving apocalypse vibes, not Good Friday prep. But here’s the deal—Jesus is the one who brought it up.

On a Wednesday night, just two days before He went to the cross, Jesus sat down with His disciples and talked about the end times. Not to scare them… but to prepare them.
Life gets hard. It gets messy. But every bit of pain, confusion, and chaos we face today points to a bigger story—a day when we’ll see Jesus face to face and everything wrong will finally be made right.

So don’t tune out. Don’t freak out. Let the words of Jesus remind you that no matter how wild the world gets, Jesus is still in control. And if you belong to Him, your future is secure.

God isn’t looking for flashy…he’s looking for faithful. Let’s be real for a second—if Jesus walked into Refuel tonight like He walked into Jerusalem in Mark 11, what would He find? Would He find faithful followers or just Wednesday night fans?
Would He see someone who posts Bible verses on Sunday but ghosted Him by Friday night? This isn’t just history. This is a mirror. Jesus is still walking into temples—but now, the temple is you. He’s still flipping tables of fake religion. He’s still calling out the proud. But He’s also still noticing the nobodies. Still rewarding faithfulness. Still saving lives. Let’s dive into Mark 11 and 12 and find out what Jesus is looking for—and how we can be faithful, not flashy, real, not religious, and committed, not just convenient.

What makes someone “great” today? Most people would say it’s about racking up followers, making bank, or getting your name out there. The bigger the platform, the better, right? But Jesus flips that whole idea upside down.

As he walks with his disciples toward Jerusalem—toward the cross—he drops one final lesson: True greatness isn’t about status. It’s about serving.

Think of it like when you stare at something bright for too long, and suddenly, you see its outline everywhere. That’s what Jesus was doing with his disciples—burning the image of the cross into their minds. And the more we fix our eyes on it, the more we start seeing it everywhere… especially in how we serve God and others.

It may surprise you to learn that God has lots to say about sex in the Bible. With every passing year, it gets harder to be a teenager, especially in the area of sexuality. Recent statistics have revealed that, in media, you are exposed to 400% more sexual content than your parents were exposed to at your age.

It's all too easy to look at these challenges, and resign yourself to defeat. But, as we learned from Joseph's example, through the power of God, teens can make choices that honor him, even when those around us don't.

It all starts with Jesus, and the victory he won over sin on the cross. Sin and temptation still exist, and the battle rages every day in our hearts and minds. But, through the power of the gospel, we've been freed from the prison of sin.

We're in Genesis 39 and 1 Corinthians 6-7 this week.

We live in an age of outrage. Many of us are, unfortunately, familiar with how entrenched people can become in arguments over political and social causes. In our culture, many are quick to "cancel" those with whom they disagree, rather than having respectful and Christ-honoring conversations.

This week, our lesson comes from Matthew 22:15-22. When Jesus was put on the spot with a question that pitted two politically-polarized groups against the other (The Pharisees and the Herodians), Jesus responded by bringing the conversation back to our responsibility toward God. Our students will be encouraged to "Render to God the things that are God's." While it's easy to get wrapped up in politics and causes, as Christians, our primary allegiance should be to Jesus.

Although crises in life are unavoidable, just as Jesus raised the widow’s son to life, he will return to earth and “Wipe away every tear from our eyes.” But, we live in the “in-between,” having experienced loss, yet waiting for the return of Jesus. Those of us who live in the “in-between” have the opportunity to experience the comfort of Jesus when we look to him.
