<description>We help parents and caregivers gain knowledge to increase their confidence and their success in caring for children. We’ll cover topics like feeding your baby, getting your baby and you much needed sleep, and pretty much anything else that has to do with caring for babies and their families after birth. <itunes:summary>What is the postpartum care gap? Americans are fairly well cared for throughout pregnancy with most people being seen 12 or more times but then the baby is born, the focus turns entirely to the wellbeing of the baby and the new parent isn't seen again until 6 weeks postpartum leaving families alone to manage physical and emotional concerns without adequate support. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) acknowledges that this is a problem and that this contributes to our poor outcomes compared to other high income countries yet the problem persists. Mother Wit is providing solutions to families and is helping to close this gap.</itunes:summary>
