We are all flawed - as human beings there is no getting around that. But what do you do when someone you admire - someone from whom you've learned a great deal - someone who has had a positive influence in your life - yet, somewhere down the road had a moral failure. What do you do with all the good and positive things you have learned from them, especially if they were a well-known, influential artist, creator, musician, or pastor? These questions ultimately lead us into the realm of "Cancel Culture" - a prevalent term in our day and age. But on a larger scale, do we simply dismiss the good an individual has done as they stand in the glaring spotlight of their moral failure and bad decisions? In this episode, Kate and Kellie converse about what it means to still learn from others, in spite of their failures, and how to separate the "God within" from our flawed humanity. The Necessity of Community Involvement

Episode 3 - "Christian": A Powder Keg Word

"I don't want to be labeled as a Christian anymore." It seems as if this sentiment is being shared frequently among the Christian community as the word, "Christian" is a powder keg of misuse. More and more the word "Christian" is being associated with descriptors like judgmental, bigoted, homophobic, hateful, racist, misogynistic, exclusive, hypocritical and many more - and in the process, the message of Jesus is being lost. And we admit the church has most certainly earned its stripes in this regard. In this episode we tackle this issue with the hopes our listeners will be better equipped to hear beyond the negativity and instead, be exposed to the true nature of Jesus Christ and what being a Christian should really be all about.

Episode 2 - Messed-Up Judgment

What is up with the church's need to be so "judgey?" As verified by research, one of the biggest issues people have with the church is its judgment - judgment of people's lifestyles, beliefs, opinions, choices, etc. As local church pastors, nothing infuriates us more. Afterall, Jesus followers have not been called to judge, but to love. We'll take a dive into this subject and hopefully show that this is not an aspect of the church, and his followers, that Jesus had in mind.
