Harry Wayne Casey, better known by his stage name KC, is an American record producer, musician, and songwriter. He is best known for his band, KC and the Sunshine Band. Casey has enjoyed success and recognition as a producer of several hits for other artists, and as a pioneer of the disco genre of the 1970s. KC and the Sunshine band are at the Palace Theater in Waterbury tonight!

He grew up in Hialeah, Florida, and graduated from Hialeah High School in September 1969.[4]
In January 1981, he survived a serious car crash when another car hit his vehicle head-on. He was left partially paralyzed for six months, and had to relearn how to walk, dance, and play the piano, but by the end of the year he was back in the recording studio.[5]
In the 1990s and 2000s, he split his time between Miami Lakes, Florida, and Durham, North Carolina.[6]

Imagine it’s a warm June day. You’re firing up your gas grill, getting ready to cook some burgers, when your neighbor approaches and complains.

He doesn’t like your gas grill. He claims it harms his right to clean air. But that’s just the start—he digs deeper and finds out you heat your home with oil and drive gas-powered cars. Now he wants to sue you. And the state is making it easy for him to do this by creating a public database that tramples on your privacy rights.

If this sounds like a dystopian novel —we’re sorry to say that it’s not. If fact, this scenario could become a reality here in Connecticut if current proposed legislation becomes law.
