As we reflect on the bread and wine, we consider Jesus’ daily call to let go of fear, frustration, and failure as we take hold of this Bread from heaven (Mt 26:26). We are reminded that we all have a share in the cup of the new covenant (Lk 22:17), which cleanses us by grace, yet calls us to lay down offence and unforgiveness (Mt 6:12) as we daily lay hold of His life and grace toward others (Eph 4:32).

Mike challenges the church to be bold in sharing Jesus in a world that’s shaking and searching for truth. Using examples from Acts 3, 4, and 9, he shows how early believers lived as witnesses through miracles, prayer, obedience, and courage. Like Peter, Stephen, Philip, and Paul, we’re called to demonstrate and declare Christ with power and compassion. Our everyday lives, our words, and even how we face hardship can all testify to Jesus. The invitation is clear: to be Spirit-filled, prayerful, and unashamed witnesses; people through whom God’s extraordinary power and love are made known.

Sharon challenges us to pursue that same hunger for the Holy Spirit today; not just relying on past encounters, but continually seeking His manifest presence in our midst. God’s desire is to dwell among His people, to fill us with His Spirit, and to make His power visible through us. When we prioritise His presence in our lives, homes, and gatherings, others will see His work and be amazed - because “what God is doing with you is awe-inspiring” (Exodus 34:10).

Drawing from Paul’s letters and his story in 2 Corinthians, Hilary shows that true victory often appears in weakness and dependence on God. Like Paul, we can say, “When I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:9–10). Even in pressure, pain, or uncertainty, God’s power works within us. By fixing our eyes on Jesus — the risen, reigning Lord (Hebrews 12:2) — we find strength, perspective, and purpose. We reign not by avoiding trials but by overcoming through His life in us.

She encourages believers to pray with confidence, guided by the Holy Spirit, knowing that God already knows our needs and desires to work through us. Prayer builds relationship, brings spiritual growth, and releases God’s power into everyday life. Whether asking, declaring, or simply thanking Him, we pray from faith, not fear - trusting that the One who hears us can do “exceedingly, abundantly more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).

Referencing Isaiah 35:6, Isaiah 43:19, and Isaiah 55:1, he reminds us that God is doing a new thing, bringing breakthrough and renewal through His people. As “streams in the desert,” we are called to bring His presence into homes, workplaces, and communities, showing His love through hospitality, unity, and compassion. When the banks burst, William says, the geography will change - a picture of the Holy Spirit’s power to bring life wherever He flows.

Through a series of encounters (a leper healed, a centurion’s servant restored, storms calmed, the demon-possessed set free, the sick and dying made whole) we see that Jesus meets every kind of need with power, compassion, and grace. David highlights how these chapters end with a turning point in Matthew 9:35–38, where Jesus looks upon the crowds with compassion and declares, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” It’s a threshold moment: Jesus begins to multiply His ministry by sending out others to do what He has been doing.

David explains that in these stories we see:
 • Nobodies — unnamed, ordinary people who met Jesus and were transformed.
 • Somebodies — because once we meet Him, we discover who we truly are: loved, forgiven, filled with purpose and identity (Matthew 16:15–18).
 • Everybody — because these stories represent all humanity: the broken, weary, hurting, and hopeful — all who need Jesus’ touch.

Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:18–19; Acts 10:38), and now He fills His church with the same Spirit to continue His ministry of healing, freedom, and restoration. The harvest is here and now — in our towns, workplaces, and homes.

David calls the church to respond to God’s heart with Isaiah’s words: “Here I am, send me” (Isaiah 6:8). As Spirit-filled believers, we are commissioned as shepherds, carers, and ambassadors; ordinary people through whom Jesus continues His extraordinary work.

It’s a time to be filled afresh, to go in confidence, to invite others into the life of His church, and to believe that we are on the threshold of a new season - a season of favour, harvest, and glory in God’s house.

After a long, fruitless night of fishing, Simon meets Jesus on the shore of Galilee and experiences a miraculous catch that changes everything. Through this encounter, Jesus reveals four key truths that still encourage and challenge us:

1. “You can trust Me.”
   Jesus steps into Simon’s ordinary life and meets him in his frustration and fatigue. Just as He cared for Simon’s physical and spiritual needs, He knows and cares for ours too (Hebrews 13:8; Philippians 4:19).
2. “You have a new partner.”
   When Simon lets Jesus into his boat, everything changes. Partnering with Jesus - and later, with the Holy Spirit - brings divine abundance and fruitfulness that our own strength never could (John 15:5; Acts 1:8).
3. “We go again.”
   Though weary, Simon obeys Jesus’ call to “put out into deep water.” His obedience leads to breakthrough and revelation. Overwhelmed by Jesus’ holiness, he falls to his knees, echoing Isaiah’s response in Isaiah 6:5. Yet Jesus invites him not to withdraw but to draw near, offering grace that transforms.
4. “You have a commission.”
   Jesus gently tells Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” This becomes the defining call of Simon’s life, and ours too (Matthew 28:19–20). We are called to share Jesus, trust His provision, and be ready for His abundance.

Phil encourages us to prepare our “boats” - our lives, time, and resources - to be big enough for what God wants to pour in. Readiness precedes revival (2 Chronicles 16:9). As we fully commit our hearts to Him, we can expect Jesus, our extraordinary partner, to fill our nets and transform our towns, communities, and lives for His glory.

Ovi reminds us that we often downgrade ourselves, thinking we’re unqualified, shy, or not gifted enough. But what matters is not how we see ourselves — it’s how God sees us. Through the Holy Spirit, He equips us with boldness, gifts, and power (Acts 1:8; Romans 8:26) to live extraordinary lives, serve others (1 Peter 4:10–11), and share the gospel (Mark 16:15).

Drawing parallels with the mission and values of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Sam highlights that the church too is a community of volunteers marked by selflessness, courage, trustworthiness, and dependability — united in one mission to rescue the lost. With courage, nothing is impossible, echoing Jesus’ words that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26; Luke 1:37) and Paul’s reminder that God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Sam reminds us that we are a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9) and Christ’s ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20) — carrying authority, purpose, and the presence of God into the storms of people’s lives. Like lifeboat crews on call 24/7, the church must be ready, alert, equipped, and united as a team, each part of the body playing its role (1 Corinthians 12).

Finally, the RNLI doesn’t just rescue; it brings people safely to harbour, providing care and recovery. Likewise, the church is called not only to see people saved, but to bring them into God’s kingdom, into healing, restoration, and wholeness (Isaiah 61:1–4).

The word is both encouragement and challenge: God is launching us into a new season of mission, to seek and save the lost, to bring them into safe harbour, and to see lives fully restored. We are God’s lifeboat crew — His RNLI.

Looking at Peter’s call in Luke 5:1–11, Richard draws out five key truths:
1. Extraordinary journeys begin with an opportunity — Jesus stepped into Peter’s ordinary routine and turned it into a moment of calling. The same is true for us when we make ourselves available.
2. They require perseverance — even after failure and weariness, Jesus asked Peter to try again. Trusting Him through disappointment often opens the door to breakthrough.
3. They stretch our faith beyond what we see — Peter’s hesitant obedience was still met with God’s abundant grace, reminding us that faith looks past natural limitations.
4. They expose our hearts and draw us into relationship with others — Peter recognised his own weakness before Jesus and saw the need for partners to share the load. Extraordinary journeys are never meant to be walked alone.
5. They lead us into mission — Jesus redefined Peter’s purpose from catching fish to catching people, showing that God turns ordinary acts into eternal impact.

Through personal stories of provision, perseverance, and simple acts of kindness that led to someone receiving Christ, Richard reminds us that the extraordinary often begins in the ordinary. Above all, he points to the greatest extraordinary journey of all — Jesus’ journey from heaven to the cross, to the grave, and to resurrection life.

The challenge is clear: Where is Jesus giving you an opportunity? Where do you need perseverance? What act of obedience or kindness might God use in your life this week to bring eternal impact? Extraordinary journeys begin with ordinary people who trust an extraordinary God.

Ovi shows how the miracle of Lazarus’ resurrection reveals two powerful truths:
1. Jesus transforms our darkest moments into testimonies of God’s glory.
2. The enemy always tries to pull us back into the grave from which Jesus rescued us. Just as the chief priests plotted to kill Lazarus after his resurrection (John 12:9–11), the enemy seeks to drag us back into our old life of sin and despair. But in Christ, we can declare: “Not today, Satan. Not ever.”

Through examples from Scripture — Lot’s wife looking back (Genesis 19:26), Paul’s call to forget what is behind and press forward (Philippians 3:13–14), and God’s promise to make all things work for good (Romans 8:28) — Ovi urges us to leave the past behind and live fully in the new life Jesus has given.

Each believer, like Lazarus, is a living testimony that Jesus saves and raises the dead. Our transformed lives are proof that the same power that raised Christ from the dead now lives in us (Romans 8:11). The call is clear: stay close to Jesus, resist the enemy, and boldly share your story so that others too may believe.

Looking at Acts 1:8 and Acts 2:1–4, Benj shows how the Spirit baptises and immerses us in God’s life, causing us to overflow with boldness, witness, freedom, and power — the same power that raised Christ from the dead (Ephesians 1:17–20). Life in the Spirit means transformation into Christ’s likeness (2 Corinthians 3:18), Scripture coming alive (2 Timothy 3:16), growing love for the lost (Romans 5:5), and unity in the church.

Using Ezekiel’s visions of dry bones (Ezekiel 37) and the river from the temple bringing life wherever it flows (Ezekiel 47:1–12), Benj paints a picture of the Spirit reviving God’s people and making the church a source of life and fruitfulness for the world. He closes with Jesus’ promise in John 7:37–39: “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink… rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

The invitation is simple: to be thirsty, to ask, and to receive afresh. Life in the Spirit is not about settling for a spark but allowing God’s Spirit to fill, overflow, and bring His life to us and through us.

He explains that this declaration is like a doorway we walk through when leaving the quiet place of prayer and stepping back into daily life. It reorients us: God rules the kingdom, all power belongs to Him, and His glory is our purpose. From Ephesians 1:12–14, Phil reminds us that God redeems His people not just for heaven, but so that our lives now might “be for the praise of His glory.”

The message lifts our eyes to the big picture of God’s plan to restore all things (Habakkuk 2:14), while also calling us to live practically as His glory bearers in every sphere of life, sacred and secular alike. For the believer, no place is without God. We carry His presence and His glory everywhere we go.

Phil concludes by urging us to embrace our purpose with confidence as we step into a new season: to live as God’s people, declaring with our lives that “Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.”

Drawing from Jeremiah 3:15 (“I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding”), 1 Corinthians 4:15, and Hebrews 13:7,17, he shows that spiritual fathers provide guidance, correction in love, stability, and vision for the future. Just as a coach leads a team, so spiritual fathers help the church walk securely in God’s purposes.

William emphasises that the growth of Living Rock Kenya is not by human effort but through God’s design of relationship, connection, and genuine partnership in the gospel. He urges every believer to value, honour, and imitate the faith of their leaders, recognising that spiritual fathers reflect God’s heart and help the church remain strong and fruitful.

Benj reminds us of the promise in Acts 3:19: “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” Repentance makes space for God’s Spirit to fully dwell in us, and forgiveness removes guilt and shame so we can walk in freedom. With practical illustrations, he encourages us to adopt a lifestyle of repentance — daily allowing the Holy Spirit to shine His light, convict us of sin (John 16:8), and clean house so that God’s presence feels fully at home.

Just as Lazarus was raised to life but needed his grave clothes removed (John 11:43–44), we too must let go of guilt and shame, walking in the forgiveness Christ has already secured for us. Repentance and forgiveness are not heavy burdens but gifts that bring renewal, freedom, and the joy of salvation (Lamentations 3:22–23, Psalm 51:10–12).

Hilary reminds us that unforgiveness hardens our hearts, distorts our view of God, and damages relationships, as seen in the elder brother’s resentment. Drawing on stories from Scripture, church history, and modern testimony, she shows that forgiveness is not pretending the hurt never happened, but daily choosing to release resentment and trust God with justice.

Ultimately, forgiveness opens the door to healing and hope — turning even places of sorrow and judgment into “a door of hope” (Hosea 2:15). Just as Jesus turned the cross, a place of death, into the source of life and peace, we are invited to receive God’s mercy (1 John 1:9) and extend it to others, living as a forgiven and forgiving people.

Exploring the rare Greek word used for “daily,” he offers a powerful rendering: “Give us today the bread that does not run out.” This points to God’s ongoing, unfailing provision as we seek His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33). Phil challenges us to pray this petition not just for ourselves but for our whole church family, community, and town, lifting our eyes to our Provider rather than making “stress sandwiches” of regret and anxiety. The call is to be a persistent, praying people, trusting that when we put God’s kingdom and righteousness first, He will give us all that we need.

Drawing parallels with Psalm 23:4, Tom shows how God’s leading — like a shepherd’s rod and staff — may correct and guide us, but ultimately brings comfort and deeper trust. Through personal testimony of God’s provision during seasons of job loss, Tom illustrates how being yoked with Jesus builds perseverance (James 1:2–3) and peace, even in uncertainty. The call is to willingly submit to His leading, knowing His yoke is easy, His burden is light, and working with Him brings true rest and lasting fruit.

1. Be immersed in the life and power of the Holy Spirit — walking in intimacy with Him, seeing miracles, healings, deliverance, and living in both the gifts (1 Corinthians 12:8–10) and fruit (Galatians 5:22–23) of the Spirit.
2. See an explosion of new birth and recommitment to Jesus — the greatest miracle of all, with the church ready to welcome, disciple, and lead many to faith.
3. Grow and change shape — embracing diversity, mobility, and constant growth as an expression of Christ’s body in many places.
4. Be a church of extraordinary unity and maturity — living out Ephesians 4:11–13 with one heart and soul, overlooking offences, and growing in the stature of Christ.
5. Prepare leadership for the next decade — recognising, equipping, and releasing gifts across all generations to serve the church’s expanding mission.

David urges everyone to position themselves through purity, unity, worship, prayer, generosity, and humility so we are ready for “immeasurably more” than we ask or imagine. The invitation is to come to Jesus, receive His Spirit afresh, see strongholds broken, and step into these great expectations together.

Through personal stories and powerful biblical truths, we’re invited to believe that healing isn’t just for the physical - God wants to touch the unseen places, renew our minds, and restore our hearts.

Whether you're in a season of sorrow or walking alongside someone who is, this message brings hope: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3)

Drawing from key scriptures like John 14:16-18, John 15:5, and Romans 8, Hilary unpacks how the Spirit helps us in our weakness, intercedes for us, and leads us into God's perfect will - even when we feel uncertain or unqualified. This ‘Agape’ (Greek for love) is selfless, sacrificial, unconditional and is not based in feelings or emotion.

Looking at the example Jesus set in John 13:1-14 & verses 34-35 we saw true humility, the serving of others and how Jesus encouraged us to do the same. This is how others that don’t know Jesus would see us reflect him!

We were encouraged to be ‘refreshers’, like those in 1 Corinthians 16:18 were described. That is to refresh those around us, to show kindness and compassion through our actions and not just words. We are to;

See the very best in others
Seek the very best for others
And serve with our very best, for others

It takes effort and technique - it is hard work sometimes! He wants our characters and walk with Him to rise evenly, with no flat spots, no section that are unleavened.

Ephesians shows that out of the reality of our being seated with Christ flows our walk (how we live this out) and our standing in the face of any spiritual opposition. When we start to see that “reality” our whole life changes. Ephesians speaks of the love story between God and his Church for the last 2000 years, and that story reveals that Christ did not only give himself for the Church, but he also gave various gifts so that the Church would come to a place of maturity and fullness. Paul provides significant teaching on salvation, reconciliation, the nature of God's family, and the Christian identity. Paul's goal for all of this teaching was to encourage and energise believers in their faith.

Are you alive this morning? We don't need to, and must not keep having “an event” to be barely alive  - an occasional shot in the arm, the occasional defib! God doesn't want us to be “roller Coaster Christians. But instead to put on your new nature, and be renewed “as you learn” to know your Creator and become like him. (Colossians 3:10) “As we learn - it is a process and a journey, to become better, stronger, faster
