Here is what I'll discuss in today's episode:

🟢 Bill 4758: The Big Crackdown... this bans anything with THC for human consumption and lots more.
🟢 Bill 4759: The Targeted Approach... this has a hemp beverage carveout, similar to what we've recently seen in other states.
🟢 Bill 3924: The One To Watch... this shifts to CBD focused regulation, a focus on banning synthetic cannabinoids, a total THC standard, and more (like problematic language around "psychoactive").

What does this mean for businesses in South Carolina? I'm here to walk you through it.

This episode was recorded on March 24, 2026.

There is currently no federal legal definition for "cannabis"... but there is for “hemp” and “marijuana," so clarity matters.
Let's take a deep dive into Total THC vs. Delta 9 THC. Consumers and Retailers alike often don’t understand how they interact and exist in the same industry. People think they’re apples and oranges, but I have a banana analogy for you instead. Hemp, like all plants, is not a static thing. It changes from time of harvest to when it becomes a consumable product. Let's dive in to what this all means.

+++++++++

THIS PODCAST IS MEANT TO ASSIST IN A GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE CURRENT LAW AND PRACTICE RELATING TO THE TOPICS DISCUSSED.
THCa is Legal, but it is HARD to keep legal... Many products go on a journey from when it is pulled from the plant to when it gets to the consumer. Does it stay compliant through that whole journey? Many people think a Certificate of Analysis (COA) should cover you from liability... but I'm here to talk about heat and light exposure converting your product into something that could be outside of compliance and WHAT TO DO to prevent that from happening. I'm here to give some advice on how to potentially keep out of the courtroom and out of jail.

+++++++++

THIS PODCAST IS MEANT TO ASSIST IN A GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE CURRENT LAW AND PRACTICE RELATING TO THE TOPICS DISCUSSED.
