I grew-up in Nashville, where my Dad was a Recording Artist for RCA Records and a Member of the Grand Ole Opry for 54 years! He became known as "The International Ambassador of Country Music" because he Traveled Around The World, introducing Audiences to Country "Americana" Music! I followed in my Dad's musical footsteps and I Write &amp; Record my own songs and Travel Around the World, performing my brand of "Americana" Music. I even lived in France for 3 years, while I focused on Touring throughout Europe. Everywhere I travel, even when we don't speak the same language, I've found that people can always relate to the Music! . . . This is an interview we conducted with Spencer for our PleasantSide Podcast.</p><p>This is Eric Harvey. Not only do I run the recording studio here at Mt. Pleasant Middle School of the Visual and Performing Arts, but I am also a touring singer. My genre of Americana music is Southern Gospel. I am the bass singer for a quartet called the Kellys from Lawrenceburg. We record all of our cds in the PleasantSide Studio, and have done so for many years. </p><p><br>The Americana Music Triangle is near and dear to my heart since I have lived in 3 of the Triangle’s towns. I grew up in the Shoals area around Florence, AL. I lived for many years in Lawrenceburg, TN, the birthplace of Southern Gospel music, and for the past 20 years have taught here at Mt. Pleasant Middle School, which is also a town in the Americana Music Triangle. It seems as though my entire life has been centered around the music from the Americana Music Triangle. Here is a song recorded at PleasantSide Studio by the Kellys.</p><p>Music: Rocky Top by the Osborne brothers was recorded at Bradley’s Barn in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. It was recorded on November 16 1967. It was released on Christmas Day 1967.
