We spoke to the student council committee, Rachel worked hard to make the school safe and fun, Niamh organized quizzes and music for everyone on Fridays, Eilís and Lily wanted to make the yard safer for younger children and Muireann is in 6th class and hasn't missed a day in 8 years !

In the junior group we spoke to Oisín, his favourite subject is maths. Kyle loves maths, art and seeing his friends everyday. Anna spoke about the school getting their first active flag. Ellen stays active by milking cows with her parents and two brothers on their farm. Ian is looking forward to playing with Lego over the summer and Lexi loves playing camogie and is excited to go on holidays to Spain.

Our third group, Emily, Gloria, Wendy, Abbie, and Anna, a mix of third and fourth class talked to us about their student life. We hear about the Student's Council, their school tours and school garden. They also chatted about the Jumble Sale and International Day! We cheer Abbie as her team won at their school soccer competition.

We are joined by Jack, Conor, Bonnie, Kate and Oran. They tell us the sport that they play and their favourite memories in primary school. Most of them are moving on to secondary school next school year, so we hear their thoughts on that. They tell us about the Green Schools initiative. We also hear from Jack about his favourite basketball player, Lebron James.  

Tommy, Paudie, Maebhe, Aoife, and Jaden chat with Shannon about their school life. We hear about junk art from Tommy and magnets from Maebhe. Paudie told us about the 10 sport that he does. Aoife and Jaden filled us in about music and climate ambassador duties. We also got a reaction from Manchester United fans about the latest match. 

Our first group, Poppy, Oisín, Cillian, Miah, and Matthew, joined us. Shannon chatted with them about their favourite teachers, activities and subjects. They also told us about Seachtain na Gaeilge and the EsB Science Blast. Poppy, Oisín and Cillian even sang a verse from "Oró Sé Do Bheatha Bhaile"!

The Green Schools Committee - Emily, Sophie, Jagoda, Ella, and Darina - join us this morning. They tell us about being green and taking care of the environment.  We also hear about John the Holly Sapling that they planted at the start of the year! 

We were joined by Sarah, Emily, Niamh, Mia, and Éirin who are all part of the Active Schools Commitee. They tell us all about the Active Week, how to be active, and more fun actvities that they do! 

We were greeted by the school's Student Council - Libby, Ellen Mai, Aoibheann, Nicole, Bronagh, and Ellie Mae. They told us about what they do and their favourite part of being a student council member. We also hear about what they will be giving up of Lent. 

We are joined by 6th class students, Lauren, Saoirse, Molly, Alana and Sean. They tell us about the wide range of activities, events, and extra curricular activities that they have in school. Lauren discusses the Buddy Club and Playgound Pals, which are important for students' social skills. Saoirse on their different charity events and Molly on the parents' involvement in school and learning sign language. Alana tells us about the choir. We also hear Sean talk about IT skills and play the banjo. 

The rest of the 6th class also looked after the team by delivering them some tea, coffee, and pastries! 

Sorcha and Tadgh, who are both part of the Green Schools Committee, chat with Brian about the importance of looking after the environment. Brian also tests their knowledge segregating wastes! 

We hear Sorcha's three wishes and Tadgh also tells us what he would do with an extra room in their house. 

The first group of students that we have met are Aoibheann, Jack, Clodagh, Harry, and Isobel who are all part of the Active Schools Committee. They tell us about the Active Schools inititiave, the importance of moving and the fun of it all! 

We also get to know them by asking them fun and quirky questions.

We had loads of fun chatting with Clíodhna, Salvador, Charlie, Dean, Daniel, Orla, and Charlie P. about the wide variety of activities they have in school. We heard about Food Dudes, Say Yes to Languages, Junior Entrepreneur, Amber flag, sport and drama lessons. Brian even got Spanish lessons from Salvador.

We were joined by Eloise, Tara, Bonnie, Mia, and Alistair. Eloise and Tara told us all about Aistear, Buddy Readers and Playground Buddies. Mia on all her hobbies like drama, swimming, and Irish dancing. Alistair talked about the importance of well-being. Bonnie celebrated her 7th birthday with us! 

We had a fantastic time chatting with the school's Green Schools Committee, Ava, Sinéad, Lucy, Emmett, and Leah. They all taught us the importance of minding the environment. We also got a few tips on how to practice being green on our everyday lives! 

Our final group of students from the CBS Primary School in Kilkenny joined us for a good chat. Stephen shared with us his favourite subject which is History. Jack on his art, and favourite medium that he uses. Jayden who was born in Australia, told us his favourite reptile at The National Reptile Zoo. Scott gave us tug-o-war tips and tricks. Lastly, Michael does ballroom dancing like our very own Brian Redmond.

Our first stop this year is the CBS Primary School in Kilkenny. Brian and the team were joined by MJ, Greg, Dylan, Tommy, and Jack. 

We heard about MJ's Christmas dinner, Greg's amazing rubiks cube skills, and Dylan's favourite sports. Tommy's math skills were also tested and Jack on his communion fashion plans.
