n this special episode of Inspired Men Talk, Peter Ely sits down with host and founder Gary Johannes to introduce something brand new for 2026: The Inspired Men Club a weekly, judgement-free space where men can simply be, talk if they want to, connect if they choose to, or just sit with a proper cup of tea and a decent biscuit.

Supported by Peterborough United Foundation, the Armed Forces Covenant, and local community partners, this new initiative is designed to remove the barriers that stop men from seeking support no booking, no sign-in, no expectations, no pressure. Just a warm, friendly place where every man is welcome, whether you're 20 or 70, chatty or quiet, struggling or simply needing time out from the noise of life.

Gary shares the spark behind creating the club, why now is the right time, and how a series of small moments and a lot of kindness led to a movement that aims to make a real difference in Peterborough and beyond. You’ll also hear about biscuit diplomacy, community collaboration, and a vision for building a space men will rely on all year round.

If you, or someone you care about, could benefit from connection, company, or a calmer place to land, this episode is the perfect introduction.

The Inspired Men Club launches Monday 5th January, 7–8:30pm

Unit 7F, Shrewsbury Avenue, Peterborough, PE2 7EY
Come as you are.
In this powerful episode, Casey Parram walks us through his life journey, from abandonment and emotional struggles to building a successful business and becoming a father. With an open heart, he shares how his experiences of loss, his turbulent football career, and, later, the challenges of fatherhood all shaped his personal and professional life. Now a successful business coach, Casey uses his past to help others find balance, clarity, and fulfilment.

Timeline of Key Events:

Childhood:
Casey grew up without his biological father, leading to deep feelings of abandonment. At 16, his mother’s divorce from his stepfather intensified these emotions, leading to rebellious behaviour and difficulty processing his trauma.

Teen Years (16):
Casey’s bad attitude affected his promising football career. Conflicts with coaches and a lack of focus due to personal struggles led him to walk away from the sport, despite his natural talent.

Early Adulthood (18-20):
After being rejected by Oxford University, Casey left education behind and dove into entrepreneurship. He sought out successful mentors, interning and eventually starting his own businesses, striving to prove himself.

Fatherhood (22):
Becoming a father at 22 was a pivotal moment. Casey struggled with feelings of inadequacy and fear of abandonment, which led him to seek therapy to address the emotional wounds from his childhood and improve his relationship with his son.

Personal Growth (Mid-20s):
Therapy helped Casey confront his fear of rejection and abandonment, which had affected his business and personal relationships. This shift allowed him to step back from overworking, prioritize family, and redefine success on his terms.

Current Life:
Now a fractional CMO and business coach, Casey helps entrepreneurs align their business goals with personal fulfilment. His focus is on achieving work-life balance and emotional clarity, ensuring success in both business and personal life.

In this episode of "Inspired Men Talk," we navigate the complex terrain of mental health in the realm of elite sports, a subject often shrouded in silence due to prevailing stigmas. Gary, Chris, and Ben, alongside their esteemed guest Chris Ramsey, MBE, embark on an open and candid discussion. With his extensive background as the Technical Director and Head Coach at Queens Park Rangers, Ramsey enriches the conversation with his 45-year journey through the highs and lows of football. From player to coach, his career offers a unique lens to examine athletes' mental challenges. The episode delves into how mental health in sports has historically been overlooked, the recent shift towards greater awareness and support, and personal stories from Ramsey's own experiences. By bringing to light the invisible battles athletes face, this dialogue aims to break down barriers and foster a deeper understanding of mental well-being in the high-pressure environment of elite sports.
