A warning goes out that a storm is coming, along with a reminder that getting ready takes daily discipline rather than a last-minute scramble. True healing is presented not as a matter of simply feeling better, but as being whole and surrendered enough to serve in the kingdom and stand firm through hard days. This message is illustrated through a personal story about a night the Lord asked whether the speaker truly wanted to be healed, leading to the lesson of giving God every area of life—even those held back by distrust.

Drawing on the Old Testament's many names for God as our rock, Jesus' parable of the wise man building on the rock, and the closing doors seen in the days of Noah and the parable of the virgins, the message urges every listener to deal with their personal struggles now, while it is still the day of salvation. The service closes with the hymn "My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less."

If Jesus has already won the victory and put all things under his feet, why do we still see so much of Satan's work in the world? Pastor Barry Joe Tate picks up from the last two Sundays and takes up that question from Hebrews 2, where we are told that we do not yet see all things subjected to him, but we do see Jesus. Along the way he looks at Joseph, whose promise from God tested him (Psalm 105:19), at the empires in Daniel 7 whose dominion was taken away even as it seemed to carry on, and at a simple story about a neighbor, a power outage, and the difference between knowing the facts and knowing the truth.

From there Pastor Barry Joe walks through a three-part truth for the church: we can receive only what God has given, what God has given must be taken by the church, and what the church takes cannot be kept from her. He draws on John the Baptist, the seventy sent out in Luke 10, David inquiring of the Lord before every battle, and Joshua taking the land city by city. He closes with a prayer, a hymn, and a reading from Zechariah 14, and an encouragement to take your rest, because it is coming.

For years we've studied what it means that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, in the heavenly prayer room. In this message, Pastor Barry starts with Acts 5:31: at the right hand we have both a Prince and a Savior, the One we need for every kind of burden we bring in prayer. Then he turns to Psalm 2 and its companion, Psalm 110, where the Father says to the Son, "Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession." God means to reach the world through prayer, and the church is called to take up that prayer work at Jesus' side.

From Melchizedek's blessing in Genesis 14, God as "Possessor of heaven and earth," we learn that whatever the enemy has taken, God is able to buy back and reclaim. Just as our military never leaves anyone behind, God's promise reaches every last man, woman, and child, to the farthest end of the earth and even the bottom of the sea. We have been bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus.

In Sunday's message we begin a close look at Jesus’ letter to the church in Laodicea from Revelation 3:14–22. This message focuses on Christ’s warning to a lukewarm church, His patience toward those He loves, and the urgent meaning behind His words: “I stand at the door and knock.”

Rather than treating this passage as a distant warning to an ancient church, the message asks whether Christ may still be knocking at the door of His people today. Jesus reveals Himself as the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation, and the patient Lord who rebukes and disciplines those He loves.

This is a sober call to listen, repent, and respond while the door is still being knocked on.
