The end of an Episode, the end of an era?

Last time on Error Code Blueberry, we were addressing the latest round of layoffs at Bungie. Between still feeling pretty bummed about that situation and our respective lives getting a bit busy, we've been feeling less pull towards Destiny and by extension, making this show. We've always talked about putting yourself and your wellbeing before Destiny (or any game for that matter), so we'd be hypocrites if we didn't take our own advice. All that is to say that this episode will be our last for some time. We go into detail in the episode, but this is essentially an indefinite hiatus. We'd like to return to making it, but we won't do that until we're both in a place where it doesn't feel a slog or a grind to play the game just to have something to say in this show.

Episode 99: Hundreds of people have lost their jobs. This truly sucks.

You already know what it is.

Last week, the news of more layoffs at Bungie landed on the day we would typically record this show. There was no world in which we would feel comfortable trying to say anything publicly until more information had come to light about the situation. A week later, we've learned more about the layoffs and had a disappointment statement from Bungie CEO Pete Parsons. We're coming in hot in this one gang - there's just not a lot to be positive about with this news.

Episode 27: The Moth-Lady Cometh

The day is finally here. Savathûn, her Throne World, and the Witch Queen expansion have arrived in Destiny 2. We've had a few days to get used to all the new stuff and to get through the campaign at least once. The episode is like our approach to the game in the opening week so far: a little bit all over the place. We touch on a bunch of very spoilery story stuff from the campaign and other activities around it, so tread lightly if you want to experience that yourself for the first time and not have us half-remembering things get in the way of that.

Witch Queen is just 2 weeks away, and despite last week apparently being the last big TWAB before the release, this week saw a number of very interesting items come out of Bungie HQ. New trailer format? We've got it. Big Void 3.0 update post? Yup. A classic Bungie ViDoc with yet more details? You bet. Join us as we go through all of the above, and start to really set our eyes ahead to Witch Queen.

Due to some Life Stuff™ this week, we only finished recording this a mere 5 hours before it went live. That's not ideal. In order to make our lives easier if we need to adjust our recording time, we're going to shift our release time to Sunday mornings, 10am AEST. Set your clocks accordingly.

We're 4 resets away from Witch Queen hitting Destiny 2, and this week there's more new information and details about it to be discussed. More specifically, one interview with Game Director Joe Blackburn which went into some very interesting details related to weapon crafting, Savathûn's Throne World, Hive Guardians, and more. We pulled out the things that intrigued us, pick them apart, and get sidetracked at nearly every point.

Then, to finish, we take a closer look at Meckii's quest log. It's bad. Real bad. I don't know what else to tell you. You'll just have to check this one out to see what I mean.
