Meet Dragon Fly Soul.

Hi my name is Teri Stephens, I am a massage therapist, a single mother of 5 children. I love my work, it’s been very fulfilling to me to get into the massage and energy work and put the two together. What makes me excited about getting up in the morning is helping people. I have transformed my life, and love to give people tools to transform themselves, especially women. Those that have struggled like I have.

My name is Julie, I love getting out of bed in the morning cause I do really cool things. And if they’re not cool, I make them cool. And this work has also transformed my life. I have been at this work for a little over 17 years, it just has a way of grabbing a hold of ya, and says “let’s go and get this done”. And I’m not done yet, but I am doing the “let’s go” part. Helping people is a side note. For me, I realized that I was helping myself, and by doing that, I was able to help others. It started out as a selfish thing, but turned into being something greater.
I have a commitment to create. I had an accident where I was injured by a horse. Someone asked me if it was a challenge and I said “No, it was an amazing adventure. I was able to heal myself and learn so much from it.” We get to create our life. Our life is going to happen, so why not be a conscious creator of it.

You can find Dragon Fly Soul on their website www.dragonflysoul.com

What she learned most acutely, while refreshing forests, landscapes, rivers, and people, was how to see clearly into the heart of nature. She has been an Executive Director in Outdoor Education and Nature Restoration. She shares nature’s teaching as an art. Elaine is a consultant, forester, farmer, and educator. With so much attention toward the nuances of nature, a day came when Elaine wanted to harness a different kind of art for some very special people. She started Portrait Connection with her daughters, Laura and Kristen, to bring fine art portraits into the communities and homes of children who have serious medical conditions. Together they connect artists with valiant families and catalyze extraordinary compassion. She developed the skill once she realized that connection is a major factor in becoming successful in business and in life. While doing the work at bettering her own marriage she remembered her passion for making time for your marriage and making it a top priority. This had always been a core value for her so as she worked on her own marriage she realized she needed to help others make their marriage a priority. While he never felt he had lost his voice, he knew he was living far below his potential, and he was really frustrated. Dr. Denim L. Slade has always been intrigued by humans and our social interactions. Over the 20 years that he has been doing therapy, he has studied, he has sought to first understand people and then employ his knowledge and techniques to help people be healthy and happy in their lives and relationships.

Dr. Slade has a firm belief, born out of thousands and thousands of hours of study and clinical experience, that there are certain elements about each of us that simply do not change and that they don’t change because they are not changeable. That may sound odd coming from someone whose entire career has been dedicated to helping people change. That is exactly why he believes that understanding temperament is so essential--and I agree with him! We both believe that as we understand ourselves--why we do the things we do and why we don’t do many of the things that we don't do--we are much more effectively able to change the things that we absolutely can, and in many cases, need to change in order for our lives to be healthy and happy. And when we are able to combine that with an in-depth understanding of the important people in our lives, we have a change accelerator that is incredibly powerful.

This episode is a little longer than most, but I believe it is worth your time to listen. So, grab a notebook, get comfy, and enjoy this fascinating conversation.

Which CORE Temperament type resonates with you?

C = Comfort and Connection

O = Optimism

R = Resolution

E = Exactness
