It's a tough conversation, especially for those dads who are drinking excessively. Luke describes how in every instance, it's never about the alcohol. It's about the gap that alcohol fills, the trauma it covers and the challenges it solves.

In reality, those challenges never do get solved by alcohol, and I think most dads know that. Short-term fix.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was from a CEO that I used to work with; Sam. Sam has faced some pretty big challenges personally and professionally, but he's always 'ran into his fears'. It's hard, but everything can be resolved, and I hope this episode sparks that mentality for dads out there who are drinking too much to take action and run into their fears head-on.
