New reports have come out indicating that the ex president and members of congress were in communications on January 6 and perhaps during the insurrection
A friend tells me that a visitor to congress would have left bags, back packs and other items at the hosting legislators’ office
If we do not have a complete understanding of what happened on Jan 6 we will not learn the lessons of how an American Insurrection could be structured.

From Texas with a 100 year winter storm, to sidewalks so hot in Palm Springs that dogs were burning their paws, to the US Track and Field trials in Eugene OR being delayed due to record setting heat to new vineyards being planted in New York State that used to be too cold for that variety of grape.

Our nation's weather is changing.

There are already rolling brown outs in some parts of the country and requests from the electrical companies to modify our behaviors to conserve electricity usage.

Climate change can not longer be denied. That is a bad idea.

What should we be dong individually, and as a nation, now to make the changes a minimal as possible so that we don't have to experience major changes in the future.

Next Monday is Memorial Day at one time was called Decoration Day
United States, we honor and mourn members of the military who have passed while serving in the United States Armed Forces. This is not to be confused with Veterans Day.
Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, was first observed on May 30, 1868 at Arlington National Cemetery when flowers were placed on the graves of fallen Union and Confederate soldiers and Colored Soldiers.

May 5, 1868, General John A. Logan, leader of an organization for Northern Civil War veterans, called for a nationwide day of remembrance later that month.

The American Rescue plan include $1,400 to millions of cousins, and an increase to the child tax credit. Others receiving benefits are restaurants and entertainment venues. States and Local governments will get some assistance with budgets hit hard because of loss revenue due to COVID-19.

Over 60% of the money in the plan goes to cousins.

NO Republican Senators or House Representatives voted for the bill. Why not?

Truckers are critical to the logistics of our nation. During the pandemic, as always, they delivered everything from testing equipment, to paper towels to vaccines. Critical.

Cousins, when you are on the road practice good truck etiquette.

When legislation comes up in your state that impacts truckers, be reasonable

-- 3.5 million truckers in the United States, independents, small businesses and large businesses
-- It takes 300 ft to stop a 80,000 lbs truck at 55 mph, an average car stops between 120 -140 from 60 mph, Do the math!!!

Truck etiquette – Bad Ideas -- driving in truckers' blind spots, cutting them off in traffic, limiting their distance on access ramps, road rage, cell phone driving in rush hour traffic, not maintaining safe distances between cars and not extending other road courtesies to truckers.

The real bad idea was that I heard the Governor blame the 10% of power total generated by wind power as the cause of the major power gird shutdown across the state. A little further research indicated that the wind turbines had not been appropriately winterized. Come on cousins!

2) Public health measurements -- nutrition, overweight, colon cancer etc.
3) Bridges and infrastructure issues
4) Graduation rates of high school students and percentage who took calculus. Because you need calculus in order to become engineers
5) A clear discussion of the federal budget, national debt and the need for tax increases or decreases
6) Number of imprisoned cousins and for what crimes
7) Minimum wage and the wage gaps

The 2020 National Election results were perhaps the most secure election we have had in the United States. The states and the Department of Homeland Security were strong their voting process development and diligent to technological attacks that helped ensure we had a election that was fair and that counted eligible votes. We all owe a big "Thank you" to the United States Postal Service, to all of the poll watchers, Boards of Elections, Secretaries of State and the state's information technology departments who worked on this election.

Claims of fraudulent vote tabulations, if correct, should come forward with proof of such actions. In the absence of proof, such positions are misinformation and counter to the values of the United States and serves to undermine cousins' confidence in our democracy.

The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment "longest non therapeutic experiment on human beings" in the history of medicine and public health.

A federal, public health agency conducted an experiment with black, male cousins from 1932 to 1972. The study observed and tracked the impact of syphilis on the human body. It was known in 1947 that penicillin was a cure for syphilis but this information was not communicated to the men in the experiment. For forty years the experimented continued until it was finally made public and shut down. As a result there are laws and regulations, now against such human experimentation. This was not the first or only medical experiments conducted on black male and female cousins in the United States over the centuries.
