Drawing from Robert Kegan’s developmental theory and Jennifer Garvey Berger’s Changing on the Job, we unpack how leaders transition from "informational learning" (acquiring new facts) to "transformational learning" (expanding the very shape of the cognitive vessel that holds information).

We dive into the core engine of developmental growth: the shift from Subject to Object. What we are Subject to, we are embedded in and controlled by; when we make it Object, we can step back, reflect upon it, and make conscious choices about it.

The conversation charts the movement across four developmental mindsets—Self-Sovereign, Socialized, Self-Authored, and Self-Transforming—and maps them onto the Wesleyan way of salvation: prevenient grace, justification, sanctification, and Christian perfection.
