I love having these conversations, because they help me find new ideas, examples, and ways of thinking about the work that I would never arrive at without the magic of our minds coming together.

When I left social media four years ago, I could literally feel my attention healing in real time. 

I went from scattered and drained to invigorated and focused. I had so much creative and embodied energy. I knew what I cared about for the first time in years. To be honest, it felt fully, fucking magical.

A few months ago, I was feeling some kind of way about my book, and I found myself googling “ego death."

Wikipedia informed me that the term came from the realms of Buddhism, mysticism, Jungian psychology, New Age spirituality, and psychedelic drugs. It meant something like “complete loss of subjective self-identity" or "transcendence of the self."

And that felt… fine. But not quite right. 🫠
