Chapter 1

Bringing Comfort

We are here with you with the intention to give you comfort. You have lost your beloved pet, your companion, best friend, who was maybe like a son or daughter to you. We understand you. We would like to represent your pet and wish to show you how you can find a new way to deal with your loss. Let us go on this journey together.

We are a collective of pets, talking with you to encourage you to speak with your pet again – either directly or with the help of an animal communicator.

There is no such thing as “death” for us – we see life as a continuum and that includes what you call passing over. We may not be visible anymore, but our spirit lives on, just like yours does too.

We encourage you to entertain the thought that this is true. In this way, we will be able to communicate and hopefully find healing for you. You have lost your great friend, and yet, in another way, this friend is still present with you. Both of these sentences are true at the same time.

We want to help you re-discover your connection with your pet and enable you to say everything you would like to say to them. Talking with your pet will help you ease your pain as you remember the good times spent together and experience, that you always stay connected.

This is the main message of all the pets for their families:

We are always here.

We invite you now to remember our last moment together. Take your time to sit with this memory. It might take some courage to go back to this moment in time.

When people say goodbye, many things are left unsaid, and later they may feel upset about all the words that were left unspoken, and about the things not done. We know that there are many things you still wanted to tell us and do with us.

Now we encourage you to say – or write – all the things you still wanted to tell us.

Maybe there is a certain look you remember or a feeling. Here is a space to tell yourself and your best friend what you remember about that last meeting.

Maybe you want to speak about our time together – the moments you loved especially.

Maybe you want to express the things you are grateful for, or special memories that made you laugh or cry. Here is your opportunity to say all you wanted to speak from your heart.

Don’t think of it as a task or as a duty, this is an invitation – and we hope you know that we will be listening. Take courage and speak from the heart and all will be well.

This is just the beginning of a long conversation. You will notice that our relationship will continue in a different way now. Be gentle with yourself and only do what feels right for you in the moment.

One day you will realize that our wonderful relationship is still here, we didn’t go anywhere, we are all still here.

Bubble of Gratitude

After you have told us everything you had to say, we invite you to sit in a bubble of gratitude.

Feel how grateful we are for our time together and feel your own gratitude.

See how a golden sphere of gratitude is all around us.

Are you aware that your pet can talk with you ? Would you like to talk with your pet who has passed away ?

We will now start a conversation between both of you.

Here are some animal communication sessions you can try out to connect with your friend by yourself.

This is an interactive book. We will leave some spaces for you to fill in with your answers. You can of course also use your own paper or notebook. In this way you can take part in this journey. You will have these sessions available as recordings as well, so that you can close your eyes during your conversation with your pet if you wish to do so.

You can find the recordings here: https://share.transistor.fm/s/b555b2bb

Some Questions and Answers

Before beginning the first session, we would like to address a few questions that might have come up for you.

How does this work – how can I imagine this ?

This kind of conversation is similar to the one you have when you phone someone. You cannot see them, but you know they are there. It is the same with our pets – they are just there.

Maybe you wonder if it is better to leave the eyes open or closed.

Many people prefer to have their eyes closed, like when they concentrate on something or meditate. Others prefer to talk with eyes open or half open. That seems to work well too. It is up to you to find out what works best for you.

Do you need a photo of your pet to make contact ?

You don’t really need a photo of your pet, you will be relying on your imagination to show you your pet as you remember them. This inner image may not necessarily correspond to the image on a photo.

Just remember that your pet is present with you in their essence – they may show themselves to you in a new way. You will recognize their vibration in whatever form they use to show themselves to you, because you know them.

Do you have more questions about this process ?

You can take note of them here. Maybe they get answered as we go through the sessions.

You can also get in touch and ask more questions at www.voice-for-nature.com

First you can collect in your memory three of the most memorable times you spent together with your pet. Ideally, you will choose moments that were very special for you.

Now you can go back to your pet and say “hello” and see how they react. Maybe they have become more used to this new way of meeting each other, just notice what you notice. It is always good and right as it is.

Tell your pet friend that you would like to go back to a few places in your life where you spent some time together, and see and hear how they react.

Then, in your imagination, take yourselves to the first place or situation you would like to revisit. Experience what it is like to be there.

How does it feel to walk around there ? Is it hot or cold ? Is it windy or still ?

When you look around the place - do you see the things you remember ?

Are there things you didn’t remember which now come to mind ?

As you are there together with your friend – you can now do the things you used to do. Maybe you like to do new things together – just spend time together in a way that feels good for you.

Maybe your companion shows you some new places, places that you didn’t even know about before. Let your pet surprise you – and hopefully you can also spend some time playing together.

Take your time. When you are ready, come back and make some notes about what you would like to remember of this experience.

You can do the same sequence with the second and third experience that you revisit.

Maybe you feel like waiting a day or two to first digest the experience of the first journey. Maybe you are happy to visit them all and even travel to some more places as well.

Do as much or as little as feels comfortable – after all, your pets want you to be well and would like you to take this journey at your pace.

Did they love playing with you ?

You can ask anything you would like to know about how they experienced your life together.

You can meet your friend again by greeting them, saying “hello” and tell them that you have brought some questions along.

Just ask the first question and listen for an answer.

The answer may be a word or a sentence, it can also be a picture or a feeling, a song, or a scene.

There are many ways your pet may wish to talk with you.
For this session the pets have chosen the theme of celebration.

They want to emphasize that life is a gift and they want to celebrate with us the fact that we all come together in this way, and that we sometimes play, sing and celebrate together.

For the animals, life is a sacred journey and at the end of a journey there is always a celebration to acknowledge what was, what has been achieved, and how the path goes on from there.

So, they invite us all to step over to them, to sit together in a big circle and to share about our lives.

Everyone is heard and cherished and welcome. Everyone is listened to.

For this session there is no preparation necessary.

You can just say “hello” and this time you meet a circle of animals and people, who all belong to your family.

Among them is your beloved pet friend.

They invite you to sit in the circle and you can listen to what these people and animals have to say.

When it is your turn, you can tell them about your life, about the animals and people that are dear to you.

You can share of your life with your pet and what was so special and about how you feel now.

The people and animals listen to you as you freely talk as long as you like about what your pet means to you and about your feelings.

This is your family and you will be able to feel how they take part in your experience and acknowledge and honour every word you say.

After you have finished, there may be people or animals who wish to speak – to comfort you and to offer you their friendship.

Know that you are here amongst friends.

These are the beings that will carry you through all your life. Now they have shown up for you again to mark this occasion.

Maybe you want to thank them for all they have done for you, for their loyal friendship and their love.

In this ceremony you can also address your beloved friend directly and tell them anything that hasn’t yet been said.

Then there is the blessing of light and unconditional love that showers all that are taking part in this ceremony. You receive this love and light as you are present in this celebration.

When you are ready, you can give thanks to everybody, come back and write down all you saw and experienced.

Maybe you need some time to rest now. You can also take a walk around nature to ground yourself and to digest all you heard.
